Originally a carnivorous east-coaster, I've now lived in Santa Monica for over 4 years and been vegan for almost 2. I 'saw the light' after meeting a long-time vegan and doing some investigating of my own. It made sense to me on all levels; I'm a very non-violent person and the thought of torturing animals for food became very disturbing to me. I'm also fairly environmentally conscious (no car! R!R!R!) and the meat-earth connection had never been presented to me before. It is hands-down the best decision I've ever made. I'm a painter at heart with a day-job to pay the bills. Love the arts, the woods, the mountains & water. Not quite sure how I ended up in the smog capital of the US, but I imagine it has something to do with the ocean. Hoping to eventually move to a more nature-friendly, more calm environment.

Where to start?! Born in the midwest, love living in Santa Monica at the beach. Have been to Europe several times, all over USA have traveled to Mexico, Carribean, South America, Hawaii and Canada. I'm a writer, director /producer and cameraman working on features, documentaries and TV commercials. This has been my career my whole life since getting a B.A. in Film. For fun I swim, bike, roller blade, sail, speed walk at the beach, snow ski in the winter and hike in the Santa Monica mountains. When at home I read both fiction and non-fiction, listen to most types of music and play acoustic guitar. I 'm learning to cook simple, healthy meals. I gave up red meat in 1971 and have never gone back. I do wheat grass shots whenever I can. I have given blood at Red Cross since a teen. Have a motorcycle but don't take it out too much since all the drivers with big SUV's talkin on their cellphones make it so dangerous. Well that's a little about me. Look forward to hearing from you.
