Hello, my groovy new boyfriend. Please don't be put off by my not writing my life story here. It is overdue for new chapters.
SOME OF MY LIKES (in reverse alphabetical order): Yoga, working out, travel, singing, silliness, shows, scuba and snorkel, preparing delectable food, pickleball, partner (salsa, swing, bachata) and freestyle dancing, parties, the outré, organic vegetable gardening, opera, new adventures, museums, movies, meditating, kissing, kayaking, independent non-corporate media, happenings, hiking, helping others, flash mobs, eclipses, Burning Man, bicycle riding, ballet. SOME OF MY DON'T LIKES: Militarism, wicked police officers and DAs, cigarettes, corporate power and capitalism, watching lots of sports on t.v., loquacity, religious dogma, GMOs, consumerism, Republicans (no apologies), ethnic cleansing in Gaza. OTHER INFO: I have many more likes than dislikes. I've lived mostly in California except for a few years in France and two in New York City. I've taught school and done some film and video production. I've traveled in China, North Africa, Europe, Central America, Indonesia and am eager to get on the road again. I speak French and Spanish and can say Downward Facing Dog in Sanskrit, I give great massages and am socially and politically way liberal. I'm solvent, friendly, funny, playful, sharing, in good health, upbeat in spite of it all.
I work very part-time teaching through my local school district and also as a server at events through some catering companies, I volunteer helping distribute food to people in Contra Costa County, I spend time with my daughter and her family. I'm personally spoiled compared to so many in the world and in this shithole country, and I'm not doing as much as is needed to help others. It would be great to work for more social justice and to protect the planet with you. Politics isn't uplifting, but for me, it's like the car crash you can't not look at. I'm beyond horrified by the genocide of Palestinians going on in full sight. I don't see how Israel will be able to walk this back, and Biden needs to pull out of the coming election. Things are not okay. I stay connected to friends, neighbors, family, nature, exercise, some culture, and political and community organizations. Life would be a lot more fun with you.
