Hello, there! I am a writer/artist type man who has spent the past several years designing my version of a Garden of Eden. I am planning on Founding a business to actually build my dream soon. 30 years ago I created a website (http://www.gardensofeden.org). I also have some experience in living in a few different communities, planting fruit trees, landscaping, and organic gardening. I've taken Engineering classes and have hands-on experience with: computer graphics; word processing; and other computer skills to aid in my planning thus far. I seek a woman with whom I can share my love, who will love me as much as I will love her! Checkout my Bio from my website: https://www.gardensofeden.org/Bio.htm

I do not drink, smoke, or use drugs and hope to connect with a vegetarian woman who shares my life-long intolerance for these substances. I gradually gave up eating meat decades ago. I lead a healthy lifestyle and get my exercise swimming, folk dancing, hiking, and cycling. My bicycle is my main mode of transportation, and I am an advocate for better cycling conditions. I do satisfying work in the environmental protection field. I have a liberal outlook, but some traditional values. I’m honest, responsible, clean, non-materialistic, and peaceful. I’m intellectual and enjoy reading, writing, and learning. I spend time in rural Vermont. I’m reserved, but warm up to those folks I get to know.

Friends would describe me as being straightforward, honest, sensitive, creative, social, vivacious, cheerful, funny, an animal lover, outdoorsy. I have traveled a lot and really enjoy meeting people from around the world. The most important things to me are the relationships I have with friends and family. I enjoy having downtime to relax.I'm passionate about veganism and nutrition and have way too many vegan cookbooks. I love to try new recipes from those cookbooks and those I find online. I also enjoy walking and looking for sea glass. I like to try to express my creative side whenever I can. I like to laugh. I want a special someone to have adventures with, someone to kick back with, someone to share the day's events with.

I'm down-to-earth and like simple living. I am a good listener, non-competitive, mostly vegan, environmentalist. I love growing food in my gardens. I also enjoy landscaping and I am in the process of creating a pond (want to come help dig the pond?). Some of my favorite activities are hiking, kayaking, camping, backpacking, x-country skiing and some biking. My true family consists of my close friends. I often host small potluck parties. We play easy games that don't get too competitive and allow everyone to get silly and act like the children we all are. I believe in intentional communities and hope to join or start one someday.

I’m compassionate, self-reflective, romantic, serious at some times, quite playful at others. I really enjoy words and language. I’m highly analytical, but can (usually) set that trait aside when warranted. Working to make a significant difference (to humans, non-humans, society, etc.) is very important to me.
Expanding on some of the above:
I became vegetarian at 11, then vegan at 16 (when I became aware of the horrific cruelty in the egg and dairy industries).
I started college young, initially as a physics major, ended up getting a feminist studies degree, then did grad school in computer engineering.
I very much enjoy words and language and really like interacting with others who do as well.
I’ve long been very active in social justice causes, primarily focusing on animal rights, Mideast peace, feminism, and reducing nuclear power, waste, and weapons.
I tend to see and appreciate how others experience the world, even when their experiences are very different from my own.
I’m deeply committed to being able to hear other people’s observations of both my helpful and unhelpful patterns, and to doing the ongoing work to address them. I’m able to take in feedback, even difficult feedback, without becoming defensive or closing down.
I care very deeply about not hurting others (humans and non-humans alike).
