I’m simply perfect, and everyone adores me. I have the world’s best body, best personality and best bank account. I’m super date-able.
……as for reality, I’m pretty decent. I come with a bonus side dish of Creature, the 13-pound rescue dog. He actually DOES have the world’s best personality, and everyone adores him. My existence mostly revolves around fostering a joyful life for Creature: visiting dog parks, going on hikes, playing fetch, sniffing out treats. It is absolute bliss. My former canine friend, Sadie, developed severe health issues. And then I also developed health issues, and we were pain-buddies. So I have deep empathy for life templates that don’t align with society’s expectation: high school, college, job, apartment, spouse. There is a lot more randomness in our world than that neat, tidy formula. I am fulfilled by connecting with people and hearing their specific experiences. We’ve all been through more than we think.
As you can probably tell, I’m fairly philosophical. My outlet for this is writing……lots of writing. Books, poetry, short stories, and articles. I’m also an avid reader, although recently I’ve had some eye problems and have mostly been listening to audiobooks. I believe words are a wonderful thing, second only to food.
Food is great; food is good. I enjoy using familiar ingredients in exciting or unusual ways. For example: if you combine black beans, cooked sweet potato, cocoa powder, and some sort of sweetener in a food processor, it tastes just like chocolate frosting. Splash of vanilla in there? Pinch of sea salt? Heck yes. I’m a sucker for whole plant foods. I won’t elaborate excessively on this topic, since the entire website kind of covers it.
People describe me as calm, diplomatic, patient, and an excellent listener. I definitely lean more toward listening than speaking, but don’t worry: when I’m quiet, I am silently judging everyone like a cat.
In the spirit of transparency, I can’t write a biography without including my bone collection. Living in a rural area, it’s common to stumble upon deer skeletons, but I am also disproportionately enthused by racoon skulls, owl pellets, intriguing lichen, insect chitin, and other collectible oddities. I use them to make collages, jewelry, and sculptures. Either you dig it or you don’t—no pressure from my end. It’s a bit of a “Hector the Collector” phenomenon.
If you’re still reading this, kudos to you! Very brave. I suppose I’ll wrap up this mini memoir with some good old references. It’s like a resume, you know? Here are real quotes from friends and family:
“You are so unique! I mean this in a good way, of course.”
“I consider you an adopted nephew.”
“You are my ‘gem’ friend, and I am so glad we can make each other feel like we matter.”
“Everywhere you go, you track leaves onto the carpet.” (that one was my mom)
“You are such a sweet, thoughtful person.”
See, I told you everyone adored me.

Hmmm. Vegetarian, animal lover, environmentalist, proactive in support of the planet and animal rights. Enjoy adventure - and almost anything can qualify as an adventure - such as placing an ad. Who is out there? I'm curious. Meantime, I'm living in the beautiful foothills with my four-legged critters. If you ask, we'll send a picture.
