I adopted a vegetarian/veganish lifestyle 20+ years ago for humane reasons. I’m in my 22nd year working as a delivery driver for the same global company. I was married for 33 years (last half broken, but stayed for children) before being divorced seven years ago. I practice hot yoga several nights a week for the past three years. Listening to music is an essential part of my existence which I credit for keeping me youthful. Favorite channels include Sirius XMU and Alt Nation. Love Bruce, Social Distortion, and Tool. Hmmm.... How does a person who has lived better than half a century describe themself in under 500 words? First of all, I am a Hufflepuff and a Deadhead. I am owned by a very lovely kitty named Lady Elvendork. She occasionally lets me out but she invariably makes her displeasure known if I am gone for too long. Quite the taskmaster, is she. I am vegan though not so exacting that I won't eat something made in the same facility as products that are made with animal. I am a big fan of baking although, with the exception of bread, my results are sketchy at best. Still, it's great fun and spending time experimenting with vegan ingredients keeps me off the streets. Movies and books are big in my home and I'm always ready to see live music. I'm not able to see Dead & Co. in Vegas this year but I am looking forward to Goose, moe., Slightly Stoopid, and the one and only Mr. Bruce Springsteen (woo hoo!).
Spiritually, I consider myself Christo-Pagan (it's a thing, I promise you). I am panromantic, gray-sexual, and demi-girl and my pronouns are she/they. I am, obviously, open to anyone and will always respect who you are and expect the same.

Retired now.I am now on a low oxalate diet in addition to being a vegetarian as I had kidney stones. Being in nature is one of my favorite things. As is listening to music. I'm a very family-oriented, long-term activist who enjoys spending time outdoors but unfortunately doesn't have as much time as I'd like, to do so. I work multiple paying jobs and also run a non-profit group dedicated to promoting compassion and harmony between all species, so have very little time to just "hang out".
I do make time to enjoy gatherings with friends as well as my young niece and nephew, and my rescued pets, but most of my time while not working, is focused on volunteer activities and my 86-year-old mom with dementia. It's all somewhat physically and mentally draining, so I really enjoy being a homebody when there is finally some downtime.
I consider myself caring, and generous with my and energy as far as trying to help anyone who needs it. My support system is large and my plate is full, yet there is always room in my life for new people and experiences.

I love all animals and that love of animals is the reason I made changes to my diet. The health aspect is a factor also, but it's secondary to me. I'm not fully vegan yet, but I am trying to get there. Animal rights and animal welfare issues are very important to me. I should mention that I have three dogs, all adopted. They are faithful friends and companions. All three are Jack Russell Terriers.
I enjoy music and film. My tastes in music cover a wide gamut and include jazz, classical, alternative, folk, etc. In film, I especially like foreign film. When I watch TV, my first choice is usually PBS.

Hello and thanks for visiting my profile. I'm an artist at the Bellefonte art museum, working in sculpture and painting, former art teacher, and army paratrooper before that. Currently I'm working towards an installation exhibit for next Sept and Oct. I'm a homeowner and progressing homesteader with just half an acre, but in a lush plot backed up to a state forest yet still connected to public utilities which is convenient. I have an orchard in progress and an ever growing garden, adding stuff each year, and doing home improvement projects. One project I'm excited for is adding a cedar sauna to the hot tub room that magically came with my house. Another one is turning my screened porch into a library/leisure room which overlooks the vast green expanse. Stuff that is on hold until after my show.
I like walks in the woods, along the streams, or through neighborhoods where I can check out interesting things like garden designs and architecture. Trips to cities in search of fun, museums, great vegan restaurants, art galleries, antique shops, festivals, swimming, riding my bike, trips to the ocean, playing music. One of my hobbies is songwriting, something that just comes to me. Oh yes, its always amazing to me interacting with the animals, especially the squirrels and chipmunks that live alongside me here.
I used to belong to a vegan meetup group in State College but it eventually dissolved, surprisingly there was only a few of us, but it was comfortable being around like-minded people. There are absolutely no vegan restaurants here, best chance is at Webster's book store café, but there's a couple places where one can pull something together off the menu. Thus I've become a decent cook myself, at least I think so, and haven't had many complaints. So, I was grateful to find this site. There's not many vegans out there. I'm open to fun dates and welcome dating anyone with various diets, though for a life partner I'm hoping to find a real connection with a dedicated vegan lifestyle.

36 years vegetarian (my whole life, as I was raised that way) up until about two years ago, when I decided I was a hypocrite and vegan was the only way to go. I'm not the healthiest vegan, I swear, I should make a blog called, "The Lazy Vegan." I cut corners and I'm not the healthiest eater, but hey, no animals were harmed. Despite my lazy kitchen status, I love the outdoors. Hiking, camping, being on a river or lake. My two rescue kitties are my world. I'm just now pushing 40 and seeing how hard it is to try and make relationships work with people who have no commitment to animals or the environment or nature, when that's where my heart lies. I tend to be sensitive, not to the point that it interferes with my life, but I often go out of my way to be kind and hope (perhaps foolishly) that people will reciprocate.
I like to surround myself with quality, but I'm not materialistic. I need structure but also some space for creativity. I'm starting a creative writing class in the Spring.
