Wilmington, north_carolina vegetarians, vegans and raw foodist events and singles dating

I just joined recently and am new to this. Looking for good friends and possibly something more. I love to engage in deep conversation, as much as enjoy fun and travel on the run. I'm spiritual, but not necessarily religious, though I was raised Christian. I’m looking for someone who is bright, fun, educated, physically active and has a great sense of humor. I work out seven days a week and eat whole vegan healthy food, which is important to me. I tend to be with friends who love to read a deep book, watch a great movie or enter the unfamiliar. I love learners and those with an interested spirit. I also love to cook and create art. I worked professionally in the media business in California, but am in NC to spend important time with family and work for the tme being before returning to CA. Good people go a long way and I want to be in their presence. Hopefully that is you. While I could write a lengthy tome on my interests and the friends or woman I seek, I find it better to "be here now," connect directly and carry on in real time. Hopefully, you feel the same way, too.

I love getting lost in nature and in pursuit of wild things, and in people, experiences, stories, and dreams.

I am a happy and quirky ethical vegan FTA, with a history of animal activism and law. I love and laugh easily, and cherish time with family and friends, but am also very content being alone to relish this existence. 

I have a West Coast heart, but left a few years ago to take a long and windy road to someplace else. Along the way, I've found tremendous joy in life near the ocean and/or mountains, every creature that crosses my path, good food co-ops and veggie restaurants, photography museums, activists, wild places, indie film theaters, road trips, crumbling stone structures, farm sanctuaries, mushroom hunting, roadside farm stands, rogue apple trees, drive-in picture shows, camping, farms (esp. Transfarmations), historic towns with thriving main streets, pinball, ferry boats, World Heritage Sites, thai food with marmots, adventures of all kinds, beaches teeming with hermit crabs, coastal live oaks draped in spanish moss, alligator ponds, carniverous plants, wild horses, nature programs and hiking with friends. 

Just a gentle spirit looking to connect with other good humans to make each other's stories even more interesting.
