I am a very philosophical person but not religious. I have never had the desire to have children of my own. Some people find that ironic since I have been a high school teacher for the last 19 years. I teach philosophy, creative writing, speech & debate, and economics. These are subjects that I'm pretty passionate about, so I actually love going to work.

I have been a vegetarian for just over 3 years. I found that I could no longer justify the consumption of meat personally, but virtually none of my family or friends practice the vegetarian lifestyle. Therefore, I have a high level of tolerance for those who think differently. Politically, I am a liberal and the state of affairs in Arizona is deeply troubling to me.

My favorite activities are running (I also coach track and cross country), riding motorcyles, going to comedy clubs, travelling to almost anywhere, and visiting microbreweries.

I'm finding that the older I become, the more I seem to be developing a form of techno-phobia. I still have a flip phone and a tube television. I can't imagine ever owning a smart phone after watching how wrapped up people get with them.
