Divorced and healed, have a good friendship with my ex, am gainfully employed with a great job. My daughter recently graduated and turned 18, so I’m ready to find a new woman in my life. ;-) I love be a daddy and that won’t stop, but ready to find someone special to begin sharing this amazing life and world. 

I love to explore and try to stay active. Love being outside, going to festivals, listening to live music, and finding cool places. I can enjoy a nice night out, but enjoy being home with family and friends a bit more  My faith is central to my life and it needs to be a shared experience.

I was diagnosed diabetic 2012. I wasn’t overweight or eating a bad diet,  the doctors didn’t explore the root cause - they just said, “Eat a low carb diet.” 6+ years later, after countless hours researching and years of trying to control my levels, I learned of the decades of research around the benefits of a whole food, plant based diet, and the added benefit of making it also low fat (<10g per meal) for diabetics. Within months, my levels significantly improved. Then I learned of a series of blood tests that are recommended for adults diagnosed with Type 2, but without any of the traditional markers (crappy diet, overweight), which revealed I have a bum pancreas. I was immediately taken off all oral meds and put on insulin. 

My diet is strictly for health reasons, and I occasionally enjoy a small excursion back into the animal kingdom.
