I suppose I could start this the same way most profiles do: I like hiking, biking, travel, cooking, volunteering with animals, and getting outside off the beaten path. On the other hand, almost anything can be very enjoyable with the right companion, so why limit myself. It’s the company that matters, not the activity (within reason, I’m still not jumping out of a perfectly good airplane no matter who you are). I have done MANY things as hobbies over the years, from bodybuilding and triathlons (not at the same time), to sailing and motorcycle riding (also not at the same time), none of which I currently do, but would consider again. The things we chose to do don’t define us, it’s what we believe and how we behave that matters, and will make or break a relationship. Yet very few profiles mention these things. Most say things like “family is very important to me”. What does that even mean? Does it mean that you enjoy playing with your grandkids every few weeks, or that you live in your parents’ basement?  If you describe yourself as “spiritual”, does that mean you live by the golden rule, or that you consider yourself the intermediary between humans and light beings from a different dimension (don’t laugh, that’s an actual example from a woman’s profile that was on a rather unconventional dating site, not this one). Or “looking for someone who can make me laugh”. I’m never sure if that’s supposed to be a challenge, or if they should be looking in a comedy club.

I mention all this to point out that activities are somewhat flexible for most people. As is hair style. If you’re bothered by my beard, I'm perfectly happy to shave it all off for the right person, although my chin hasn’t seen daylight in almost 10 years. What does matter however, is the fact that I’m an atheist, and you should be at least non-religious (Buddhism or Hinduism is fine). I’m also very liberal, think Bernie or Warren, NOT biden, so if you’re a trump kind of girl, please just go away. And finally, like many on this site at least, I’m vegan, and you should be at least a vegetarian aspiring toward veganism.  I retired several years ago and consider myself financially secure and would expect you to be as well.

I’m not sure how coherent all this was, but if you’ve made it all the way through, thank you. And contact me if you’re interested.

I'm like a clean slate - I have't done anything to speak of in years, so I've lost some of what I thought was essential to me... maybe because 40's hit and I actually appreciate comfort more than I did when I was younger... If I have to choose, I'd say I'm Libertarian. If I have to choose between the two major parties, probably say Republican these days. But I don't have to, so I vote as an Independent. Haven't delved into tonnes new music in too long, which is my passion. A few that come to mind are Glass Animals, A Perfect Circle, Flume, Chet Faker, Beta Band/Steve Mason, Lil'**** has a couple that crack me up, old Doughty... I don't know - I want to know more, but kind of in the old school way where you can digest it, process it, own it up, and ID it in a line-up - not the constant streaming of nameless artists you have to always look up when someone asks you what you're listening to. There's a lot of good that can come from that, don't get me wrong, but I'm trying to stay away from fast food, fast fashion, and fast art. Also, if Country Music is important to you, we probably won't blend. Hoping to find other nutrition fledglings who are OK with finding things to do other than get together and consume. OK, maybe fledgling is a little extreme, new to what you now know is what you definitely want to do for your body?.. I feel best when eating "McDougall Style" (as embarrassing as it is to say) it's vegan, so if we can kill time helping each other grow (without being social media image driven), I'm in! I'm afraid to say too much - not a fan of chameleons.

Healing arts volunteer well into the  contentment of retirement.  Practice meditation and Qigong. Have been  vegetarian for 10 years and  VEGAN last five years. (And yes, I have not been 100% but  try my best and never impose on family or friends to cook me special meals.)    Enjoy dancing, vegan cooking classes, drumming circles and family.  Participate in alumni enrichment classes and open to any learning opportunities, i.e., travel, books, events.  I am a classic introvert and enjoy Colorado, quiet evenings at home, walking, reading, small groups, travel, site seeing, and giving to the community.

I've been a vegetarian all my life.  Right now I'm really seeking some detox in my life in all aspects.  Diet wise, I am playing with being part raw vegan, part paleo vegetarian.  I haven't used soap or shampoo in months and am phasing out household cleaners too.  I need more exercise.  I want to explore more of what my beautiful surroundings have to offer and am feeling a great need for a tribe, so to speak, as well as simple friendship and platonic intimacy.   I am a mother to a 1 year old and it has been a delight and a whilrwind at the same time.  I want to create my own reality and have inspiring people around me.  I'm interested in homesteading, natural living, off grid living, raw foods, creating anything with my hands, appreciating the outdoors, elevating myself, hobbits, and assorted nerdy stuff.
