As far back as I can remember I have loved animals (both domestic and wild) and been concerned about their welfare. Have been a veggie for over 20 years (now vegan) for ethical reasons, but just as importantly is the benefit to the environment. I also have interests in native plants, energy conservation, and living a more sustainable lifestyle in general. I have deep spiritual beliefs based in Christianity but do not follow one particular religion. I like to try and live by the philosophy "do unto others as you would have done to yourself" no matter if it is towards people or animals. I have liberal beliefs and would not be compatible with someone with conservative political beliefs. I enjoy hiking, wildlife watching, reading, good movies, educational tv shows, healthy dinners, talking to friends, working on the land, just starting to garden.......
