I got my degree in Social Work in 1997 and worked in the industry for about five years. It was hard to advance so I sought out greater opportunities. I left social work and found banking. It wasn't a difficult transition as one would think as I've always been good with people. It was just a change in needs...  After 10 years in banking, I decided to take some time off. So, in 2006, one of the first things I learned to do was scuba dive. I loved it so much that I went through all the recreational specialties, many technical discaplines, and in 2008 become a scuba diving instructor! Living in Las Vegas with 110 degree summers eventually drove me to cooler pastures and I made it to Portland in September of 2011 where I started to teach scuba full-time. I am self-employed and own my own scuba diving business. I've dove all over the world, including the US, Australia, Mexico, the Bahamas, Dominican Republic, Turks & Caicos, and Chuuk. I've lived all over the United States. I love to travel and have even took the train all over Europe. I've been vegan since 1997. When I'm not scuba diving, I love to be outside. Camping and hiking are great and if it's near water, even better.  It doesn't matter if it's raining to me... I live with my feline companion named Emma. I am usually pretty busy but like my down time. I can stay in but I can stay out all night long without a yawn. I seem to not sleep very much, and can get a lot done when I want. I live in the moment and don't sweat the small stuff. I don't believe in a higher power but I do believe in being a part of something bigger. I don't like drama, excuses, and whining. I have lots of social and political causes I care greatly about, and I don't like bullies!
