I'm an odd mix of mechanical, handy, artistic, musical & a little disorganized. I enjoy photography & making sculpture of a variety of materials. I play & listen to music. Bass guitar, djembe & didgeridoo. I plan to try my hand at writing music also. I mostly listen to jazz, some rock & assorted other stuff.
Family & friends are important. I hope to get a long w/ yours & that you get along w/ mine as well. I have 2 adopted dogs from the pound.
I recycle, reuse, repair & am left of center politically. I enjoy keeping things out of the landfill instead of buying new. Living w/in our means is important also.
I've always had some kind of technical day job & enjoyed being creative after work.
My sense of humor has been called off the beaten
path, dry, a little kind sarcasm & occasional gallows humor, however, I'm tired of people (& their humor) stomping on the world around them because they can.
I was raised catholic, but for many years have been solidly UU.
I'm a casual dresser but not above being colorful, 6'6",
white hair. I'm more often told I look younger & lighter then I am. & was recently called "a nice guy" by a friend.
My favorite place to go to or be in would be my workshop/creative spaces.
I hope we can both learn new things & don't mind holding the flashlight for you occasionally (figuratively & literally).
I've always enjoyed potters or gardeners hands. If you don't at least see the importance in creative endeavors you'll get tired of me quickly.
I have many of the limits of a guy my age, but when I'm creating or contemplating it, in that context I'm younger & really enjoy being around people who think young, 'outside the box' & tapping a fascinating rhythm on it.
I can get along w/ a wide variety of people, but am looking for my monogamous soul mate.
