Over the last several years I've made a lot of changes after long hours of self reflection and much reading. I've taken into account the things I know about my desires and my abilities. I've spent time talking with friends and looking back on the life I've lived. I've meditated. I've read self-help books and listened to recordings. I've changed who I associate with. I've changed how I think about business and money. And most of all, I've changed how I understand what I want. Part of who I am is a person who loves animals and sees the hypocrisy evident in the consumption of meat and other animal products. That part of me is trying hard to integrate with the ways that I already know how to function. I want to be fully vegan, but I struggle with cravings and a lack of knowledge on how to cook such food. I'm solidly a Madiso "East Sider" has traded in the birkenstocks for high heels...most of the time. I'm also very outgoing and social and love to throw dinner parties (vegetarian of course). Being single, not cooking properly, not eating properly, lack of daily exercise routine, and being a diabetic 2, I really do need to have a proper diet. I'm also an Amateur Radio Operator, Trained Weather Spotter, member of ARES/RACES. I love interesting conversation though I am a somewhat shy person initially. I have a strange sense of humor people consider “dry”, though I love and partake in bathroom humor as well. Gardening and botany are sort of hobby obsessions for me, but I also like playing guitar, reading, cooking, biking, hiking, kayaking,and camping. I draw political cartoons for fun, among other things. My interest are eclectic, and my desire to learn more through books or experiences never seems to wane. Lately, I've been very interested in mythology. I could go to a music festival or go out Latin dancing as easily as stay at home curled up in front of a wood stove with a good book. When the weather is nice, I like to be outside as much as possible. I am a lifestyle activist and try to live as sustainably as possible. The way I spend my time is more important to me than the money I can turn that time into.
