I relocated to New York last fall from Austin TX, which according to the locals here is the backwards way to do things (seems everyone is moving there). For the most part I believe I have all of the characteristics of the four ladies in Sex and the City rolled into one. I read that that was the premise of the series. I'm Carrie bubbly, Charlotte sweet, Miranda smart (but not nearly smart enough to be a lawyer), and well, it's fun to think I'm Samantha sexy (that was difficult to write). I'm a chee-gan (cheating vegan or cheese eating vegan). Pizza is my downfall from 100% veganism. I spent two days last summer working at the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary. I've been a vegetarian for 18 years, vegan for two. I don't know if not eating carcases of dead animals is healthy but I would probably be a vegetarian if it was as bad for you as shooting heroin. But I don't believe it's my right to tell others what to do. We all tread our own path to the destination unknown. I'm easy going, open minded, barrel of laughs at times and quiet and thoughtful at others. I love hiking and backpacking but I love city life too. I've been accused of being able to talk about anything. But I love to listen too - and not just to the sound of my own voice. I don't own a TV but watch movies on my computer and in the theater. I like live theater as well. But I'm not one of those people who are as predictable as a mislabeled compass, always point south and hate something just because it's popular with the crowds. I'm a lonely vegan... everyone around me seems to think that it's insane to abstain from animal products. I am a vegetarian for 8 years, with a desire to return to veganism. Right now I'm vegan at home, but make exceptions when I go out. I've accepted that I can no longer date a carnivore. I am an ethical vegetarian, so "ignorance is bliss" doesn't work for me. I feel ready to find a partner and teammate in life, but I am not impatient. Thanks for reading my profile. How do you describe yourself in just 1000 words? It's hard to capture the essence of someone in such a small space. Here's the short version. I'm 6'2", 185lbs and physically fit. I exercise regularly and maintain a healthy lifestyle. While I am not a strict vegetarian, I would would describe myself as an 'almost vegetarian' who is willing to convert.
