I am outgoing, friendly and enjoy doing social things when with a partner. I find when I am single I tend to stay home more, which I also enjoy very much. Plus it is so beautiful here and the weather is great. My serious side involves animal rescue work and maintaining my health. Trying to live gently and be environmentally considerate has led me to a vegan lifestyle. I earn my living as a pharmacist, but I am actually more of an anti-pharmacist! Prevention and acquiring good habits are the keys to a vital and long life. I work in a hospital and know that western medicine plays an important role as well.  Recently I installed a PV system to my home.  So sad that solar panels are not on every business and government building in the southwest, with the abundant sunshine.

For many years I fancied myself a grass roots world traveler and really derived an immense amount of pleasure from expanding my own boundaries in foreign lands. Among many other adventures, I've traveled across the Sahara on a camel, through the jungles of Cambodia on an elephant, and I lived in India for a few years while studying Ayurvedic medicine at a small hospital along the coast of the Arabian Sea. Now though, I embrace a fair amount of stillness, as the boundaries I prefer to surrender tend to lie within my own inner landscapes. I prefer connection rather than control and source my life from pleasure and presence. I practice fulfillment based thinking, which means that I rise to the occasion of what life has to offer me, and I do it in a way that nourishes and enlivens me. I prefer to be the queen of my own sovereignty and consciously design my reality in a way that enlarges my pleasure. I follow my dreams and take risks boldly. I love my camera, nature, and Organic food. I'd probably be an animal rights activist if I loved being angry, but I don't...so I volunteer at no-kill shelters instead. I'm a budding Ayurvedic practitioner and life coach for women in transition, the practice I'm designing will largely be a distance/phone/video endeavor, so I can pretty much live anywhere that suits my desire. I've been living in the desert for the last 3 years while studying with an Ayurvedic Dr and, while the skyscapes are stunning, I totally miss the smell and sound of pouring rain....

I moved to Albuquerque very recently with my almost-constant companion, a heeler/pit bull mix named Penelope, plus 2 cats and 6 red eared sliders. I moved here (i thought) because I wanted more & better dating prospects, but now am realizing that flirting feels more fun that dating right now. Oh well. someday I'll figure it out.

I'm a lawyer at a non-profit. I represent poor people. I've helped 3 teenaged girls get Medicaid to pay for their braces.

I'm slowly learning to skateboard. I can ride up a ramp and ride back down fakie, I can do a taildrop into a 5' miniramp, and usually pump the 2nd transition well enough to make it up the other side. i can do backside kickturns, and pump transitions in both directions on a mini-ramp. It's not much, but it's a huge improvement over where i was a few months ago.

Well, I love animals (have 3 rather substantial dogs), am a bookworm, like traveling, am interested in world history, ballroom dancing, and of course - vegetarian food from all over the world. And, I am very playful (oh, those stage people) I like being out in nature, although I would not exactly call myself an outdoors person who spends her time in tents and walks around in heavy shoes. At 15 I read " Why Meat on the Menu? " a pamphlet put out by the Seventh Day Adventist. this was my first attempt. In college I meet my first girl friend, She happened to be a Hare Krishna Devotee. I have been a vegetarian since, that was 1983. The last year I have been on a raw vegan regime, void of salt, sugar, and gluten.

I've befriended a young man whose been practicing Taoist techniques for longevity approaching 8 years now. In mutual developmental understanding
a group of us approached the wisdom of "Raw".

to postulate: IF; "we are what we eat" why would the sane ingest dead matter?

My meditation is to consume only raw unprocessed fresh organic fruits and vegetables and sprouting my legumes and quinoa.

 I am purchasing 2.5 acres in South Belen. The property rest along side the old Jarles irrigation ditch from which I am allowed to draw water.

The acreage has a newer double wide modular home a fixed to a footing, there are two accompaning out buildings for equipment and storage.

The property is fenced with steel pipe.

I purchased this plot to house my Yaks and start a perma culture vegetarian commune.

I have choosen the Name Cottonwood Commune.

Sandbags are on order and once arrived will be used to construct a super adobe shelter.

I know that every journey begins with the first step. I have a long term relationship goal in mind but I also know that friendship is the first step. I am a creative person and express that creativity in many ways including music and writing comedy radio/tv/newspaper ads. I also like to hike, bike, watch movies, cook, dance, long walks and talks, grow tomatoes and read. I am serious about serious things but light hearted about most things. I really enjoy having fun and being creative. I laugh alot and find humor is almost anything. I am alo a very positive person and have always been able to find the silver lining in any black cloud. I'm living in a social "Twilight Zone" and hope to meet someone within my species who may be OUT THERE somewhere.
