I have a good sense of humor and like to make others giggle, but not in an annoying way (I'm not an attention seeker). I work in an office during the week so I have to keep my sense of humor - otherwise the monotony and buzz words alone would kill me. I enjoy running and teach spin classes on the weekends. I try to take care of myself so that I can stay away from the couch and TV and keep up with my 7 year old. I like all types of music,and listen to WXPN and NPR mostly (love Car Talk, You Bet Your Garden and Terry Gross!) I sing in a band and am lucky to be able to jam with such talented folks. To describe myself in 3 words, I'd use compassionate, understanding, and delusionally optimistic. I've been a Vegetarian for over 2 and a half years now with no regrets. Well possibly that everyone I know chomps down on the occasional London Broil or White Castle burger. I have no problems with that, but it would be nice to share a similar outlook on cuisine with someone, never fretting that you're imposing or limiting dinner prospects because of your own lifestyle choice. Had 2 TIA mini-strokes this past year, I'm Deaf but very communicative and am looking for a REAL person with no issues!!!! I grew up with my father (still living, God is soooo good to us and my Mother too) who tries to grow his own food as much as possible and I wish my town had its own organic vegetarian supermarket so I go to Santori's from time to time and it's very good there. I eat veggie meals as much as possible because red meat was hard to digest all my life plus I never had an affinity for pork or thick beef or thick steaks all my life. Turns out that the NSA National STroke Association advocates the "Stroke Diet" of 60% veggies, 30% fruit and 10% grains!!! Meat is not recommended unless it's chicken or turkey. Seafood that is not scaled is the only kind that is safe and non-canned. Well, I'm into living life to the fullest but very carefully at the same time, honoring God, and our Creator, and living, loving, and LAUGHING at the same time and I LOVE DOGS! I have 2 Chihuahua dogs who love veggie meals too!

All kidding aside, I've had some great experiences in my life. I've been to some really cool places and have seen some amazing things. I surround myself with what I consider to be the best people on the planet. I come from a loving and supportive family. Bottom line is that I'm a pretty lucky guy and I'm grateful for everything I have.
I try to put joy and positive energy into everything I do. I might be stuck in bumper-to-bumper traffic for hours on my way back home from a weekend getaway and I'll somehow flip it into something positive. Just went back to being vegan again and I am scared of the isolation! But seriously, I was vegan for two years around 2003-2004 and was healthy, and went off of it and was even eating meat for a while and I became very unhealthy, unhappy, and guilty. I am getting my MSW from NYU this May (live in Jersey, commute to NYU, used to live in NYC). I like lifting weights and running, selling used books on the internet, yard sales, flea markets, historical documentaries, rap music, alternative music, cats (I have 4), dogs are cool too and I want one some day. I like to cook and I enjoy red wine. I like to read but my time to read is limited since I need to read academics texts all the time for my social work program.

Then recently, I became vegan. I am a very passionate cook. I love to read new and old cookbooks and make anything vegan. I love sarcastic comments but I hate deadpan responses. I love provoking and getting the giggles but I hate when milk comes out my nose. I love diner runs but only at 3am or in the early afternoon after an awesome party (breakfast food always!) I love hanging out with friends (whether it be coffee and/or cocktails) but I hate superficiality I love baseball esp White Sox but I hate people who jump on the bandwagon of whatever team is good that year. I love cooking & baking but I hate to follow directions. I love spring and fall but I hate winter. I love watching snow fall but only if I have nowhere to go. I love pumpkin beer but hate bars who charge crazy $ for it. I love movies but only when watching them at home. I love concerts especially if it's an all day event and there are lawn seats. I am a simple man, looking for my better half! I totally admit to this. I feel that in this day and age, i shouldn't limit myself as to how I go about seeking someone, so here I am! I am silly.
