Hello! I'm Kevin. I'm on this site to look for a woman who cares about her health, appreciates vegetables, and has an interest in living with intent.
Food: I eat a lot of raw sprouted food, but also steam veggies and occasionally eat a little grass-fed open-range meat. My thing is that I try to avoid sugars and Eat to Live instead of Live to Eat. I like the Hippocrates quote: "Let food be thy medicine and medicine be thy food." I lost 45 pounds by changing my lifestyle and haven't looked back since. I almost would feel guilty now if I got sick and society (through medicare or other gov't programs) had to pay for my recovery when I have great knowledge on how to eat and how to improve and maintain the immune system. I'm a little of a closet naturopath with my herbs and scientific understanding of nutrition.
For work, I started small renewable energy company about 3 years ago. We are small, but raising funds and believe we will make it big. This is another reason to be uber-healthy...when you have to manage others and be quick on your feet, every bit of increased brainpower is a competitive advantage.
I also study neurology on the side and am incessantly interested in helping people live a better quality of life, sans Western capitalistic marketing to the extent possible (though I am a strong supporter of capitalism).
My life will be mostly an adventurous one...traveling the world and getting involved in far-reaching projects. I would like to live to the end of life, just full of it.
One final note: I'm mercury filling free and seek the same. That means the silver amalgam fillings...other plastic/glass/composite fillings are no big deal. It took me awhile to reduce the mercury load in my body after getting my mercury amalgam removed, and I definitely don't want to reintroduce my life to mercury toxicity again.

I have recently started going barefoot -- running barefoot, especially, but also going barefoot most of the rest of the time. My feet hurt less than now than they have for the past 31 years (with shoes and orthotics). And I have become a vegan.
So the profile part: I have a lot of curiosity. Bookstores are dangerous places for me because I have a hard time saying no. I have a similar weakness for musical instruments; fortunately, musical instrument stores are fewer and farther between. My house has too many instruments and books already.
I enjoy being active. Depending on the season, I sometimes run, bicycle, ski, dance, go to the gym, run the dogs, hike the dogs, and/or play my accordion outside. When my kids were playing ultimate frisbee, I pretended I was the pep band.
I like to try new things, but am no fan of motor sports or guns. I live in a suburb, so I have a lawn and a driveway. I use a manual push reel mower for the grass and shovels for the snow. I hang my laundry on a rack to dry, and I no longer own a microwave. In winter, I ski. A lot. I like moguls and telemark skiing.

I enjoy cooking, going on walks with my dog, watching interesting movies and listening to MPR. I have some hobbies that I'd like to take up such as sewing, needlepoint and gardening. I'm one of those people who has a hard time getting started if I don't have someone to do it with...so unless I have someone to say...this is how you do this...I probably won't strike out on my own. Lucky for me they have classes for these types of things. I have a needlepoint class next month, yay.
As far as goals I just want to be happy. Isn't that what everyone wants? I want to make new friends (lived here a year and have one friend...better than none) have a home with a yard for my dog to hang out in and not have to worry about bills. Moving to Minnesota has helped me be more active...still not as active as I'd like to be. I'd like to learn to rollerblade and need to take a swimming class. Its been so long since I have actually needed to swim that the water now scares me. Beach is one thing, but being surrounded by lakes is another.
I'm one of those people who has no real style. If "comfortable" counts as a style I guess that describes mine. When other women comment on my shoes its usually "I bet those are really comfortable."
I'm really behind on technology. I only just got a real smartphone...I used to have a not quite so smartphone, after a day I can now understand how people get so attached to their phones. I'd really like to avoid that. I don't tweet. I don't have very many facebook friends and don't use any apps. I freak out about them using my information...one of my many paranoias.
I don't have a lot of favorites when it comes to things like music or movies. I like action movies and all the sub genres attached to that. Musically, I can listen to a musical soundtrack or radiohead or bon iver or regina spektor.

Hi there. My name is Megan, and I'm fairly new to this vegan thing. I have had several bouts with vegetarianism, but recently decided that it would be best for my overall health and conscience to go all the way. I work in a bookstore, and it's a lot of fun. Never a boring day. I can recommend a book on almost any topic, as long as there's no math involved. I love love love to cook, and spend lazy Sundays whipping up staples to have on hand all week; breads, dips, soups, and mock meats. All of this has really brought out the creative gourmet in me. It's also brought on a couple of pounds...but that is my next project.

My friends think I'm a great cook and a lot of fun to be around, although I can be a little pessimistic about world events. My diet is vegan but I do not consider myself totally vegan yet because I still own things that are animal products and just can not afford to replace them.
I am a relatively picky about what I eat. I try to avoid most GMO and chemicals in processed foods and try to include a majority of organic unprocessed whole food in my diet. Ideally I want to go raw vegan but keep falling short.
My dream is that the world will turn to large solarium style spantheon biodome type systems to live in and grow local food of all sorts year round and mitigate exposure to the heavy nuclear fallout in the world today.
I am interested in the ancient mysteries that include the subtle intelligent energy fields. I feel that combined with current undertanding of the electric universe theory and present physics principles we can have incomprehensible quantities of energy available without pollution. This is exciting because these principles used in harmony with each other means that a Star Trek like Atlantian age of Travel, technology in harmony with life force energies and producing material resources from energy fields could be happening today. There seem to be principles that have potential to eliminate nearly all forms of scarcity.
I am also interested in and prefer Naturopathic, Holistic, Alternative health care in most cases to allopathic medicine.
I am very disapointed in most forms of centeralized authority and coercion especially the current monetary banking system with fiet currency , it's inflation causing poverty and indentured survitude. It seems there is no end to the coruption, perversion of truth, the reusulting damages and harmful unethical effects this generates.
I value truth, honesty, ethical and just lawful behvior, freedom for sentient beings, growth in knowledge and awareness in globalization and on energetic levels.
