Well, I was raised in a sitcom-like family - or so that was what my family was repeatedly told (we were compared to shows from the Simpsons to the Cosbys). As a result, I love to laugh. I find humor in most aspects of life and always enjoy the simple things that life has to offer. I am a 49 year old woman. I have one son still living at home with one more year of high school. I relocated last year to Bloomington and am enjoying the change. I am passionate about life, I enjoy interacting with people, and discussing all sorts of topics. I enjoy preparing good food and seeking out one of a kind restaurants preparing ethnic or well prepared healthy food. I enjoy theatre, music of all sorts, some movies, gatherings of friends, farmers markets, museums.... and I am open to new adventure, and travel. I am calm, kind, thoughtful, giving, relaxed, and easy to be with. I like to read, and am a lifelong learner. I usually smile a lot and am thoughtful and loving. I have been vegetarian off and on during my life but am not a purist. I am a nurse.

I always thought love should be simple. I've learned it can become one of the most complicated components of life ... when mistreated. Ooooh, but the joys when nature is allowed to take it's course and love, acceptance, care, understanding, trust and commitment are integrated ... unbeliever's need not apply ... To care for someone, about someone, is one of the most unselfish acts of commitment in a relationship. That one act alone, covers ample ground in expressing one's feelings for their mate in any life situation. To do because you know that act will make your mate happy, no matter the size of the act comes from an understanding established through open communication. My latter will be greater.

I am a vegetarian but I am not fanatical. I do not eat any meat but all of my friends are meat eaters. I'd like to do better with being involved in animal rights campaigns etc...but somehow as I've gotten older I've become more involved with children. I work in social work and I'm a foster parent. I've noticed myself slipping in my follow through with things that I would never have done 5 years ago..such as throwing away milk cartons instead of recycling them(or drinking soy milk instead of milk in the first place)I'm trying to take the time out to remind myself to act according to my beliefs.
