I had a successful career as a Software Sales Rep, but started my own company in the clean-tech and alternative energy space a few years ago. My job has given me the chance to see some interesting places and I am thankful for the freedom to set my own hours. I enjoy dining out, especially Indian and Italian restaurants, watching movies, reading etc. but don't mind staying home and cooking or enjoying some relaxing music when I have the time. I am a vibrant, healthy, fun, smart woman living in downtown Chicago. I work downtown as well. I enjoy life. I recently am experiencing the raw foodist coming off ground of being vegan. I do not know if going completely raw is for me, however, I try to eat raw as much as I can, but certainly know that vegan for me brings me more happiness because it is not as restrictive. Health-wise, well, that is why I am on the journey I am. I work full-time, but animal-advocacy volunteerism and activism are the most important activities of my life and I find the time and energy to pursue them. I am a strict vegan and have an animal companion - a dog that I rescued from abuse and a terrible fate. I enjoy blues bars, belly dancing classes and engaging conversation over drinks or dinner. I love Italy, the Italian language, and especially "I Gatti di Torre Argentina" - "The Cats of Torre Argentina," the largest stray cat colony in Rome. The most satisfying trips that I have taken in recent years have been to farmed animal sanctuaries. I am definitely marriage-minded, but I have no room in my life for children. On my way back from India, I swung through Scotland for the G8 protests, where I helped run a convergence space for a month+. I think I am open minded. I love new experiences. People say I am funny & smart. I am honest almost to a fault. I'm constantly trying to achieve perfection. I don't tend to fit into the veg/vegan crowd too well... but I consider that to be one of my more charming traits! First, I don't look like a vegan. I love to eat (Mexican, Thai, Indian, Sushi...) so I'm not a skinny. I do work out however, pretty much daily, so I prob don't want to hook up w/ a skinny either. Next, I'm a big, fat hypocrite. I eat no animal products but I drive an SUV... I know, I know. I feel super-guilty about it almost every day. Let's start with what I do. I own a small concert sound company. It is a very cool job, I basically get paid to listen to music. By day, I'm a personal trainer. I train privately and in a gym. Before I got started training, I was in a band that did some touring in the Midwest. I quit because the gigs were too stressful for the pay, but I still play in public a couple times a week. I decided to go vegan mostly for the resource conservation aspect of it. I think it is very selfish that people are starving while others eat meat to the extent that they die of heart disease. I also think that there is no ethical ground to support killing basically anything ever. Especially for something as trivial as MAKING YOUR FOOD TASTE BETTER! I've been out of the dating arena since a divorce 11 years ago. I would like the company of a man who likes all kinds of activities.
