I have been a vegan for 30+yrs, I am an herbalist, I can go to the woods, fields, desert, beach, etc to find the herbs. I do not use the medical profession,I home birthed my kids and grands, also they are home schooled. The herbs were what took me back to the bible, and I have been reborn in this life, did not have to die for that to happen. I believe the current health fiasco is a total govt take over and encourage everyone to get healthy so you are not at the mercy of a system that has not healed anyone in a long long time. They do more harm then good and the drug resistant diseases in there facilities are on the rise and killing people, 25,000+ a year. I am looking for like minded folks to exchange information with. If you have your health, everything else will take care of itself. John McCain former presidential candidate has a bill right now to take vitamins and herbs away from us, so we need to unite against this and govt health care. I will only have two weeks on here as I do not have credit cards, never have to join this site.

In a nutshell, I love dogs, exercise, vegan food (though I confess to following the vegan-except-for-chocolate rule), laughing with friends, geography, math puzzles, NVC, and Radical Honesty. I currently live in Arkansas but will be relocating soon to my old stomping grounds on the Central Coast of California. Yay! I've missed California terribly since I sold my house (bad move) and left in '03. Honesty and communication are the top priorities in my relationships. I like things on the the table and like to keep a clean slate with my friends and lovers. I love being outside, and I walk my 3 dogs 4 miles most days. I also workout at the gym, lifting weights and doing cardio on the elliptical. My favorite place to be is Santa Barbara, CA (or san luis obispo), and the sooner I get back there, the better!

I am a gentle, peace-loving person: observant, creative, athletic, intelligent, although not nearly as athletic or intelligent as I used to be. But strangely enough, I’m more creative. Some things get worse with age, others better. I prefer Dostoyevsky to Tolstoy, Jung to Freud, Ramakrishna to A Course in Miracles, anybody at anyplace during any time to George W. Bush. I love the woods and the meadows. I’d rather be in a library than a bar. I try to walk softly on the earth. I believe in the brotherhood of man, but I also believe that it’s probably over for the human race, maybe not entirely, but certainly in terms of our “modern” lifestyle. The cheap oil is almost gone, and when it goes, so goes the American way of life. That’s a good thing, in many ways, but it’s also scary, and if we’re going to survive, we need a major attitude adjustment. Less materialism. Less narcissism. Less worship of Mammon. More awareness of how our actions impact the earth and the creatures that dwell upon it.

I'm a former desk jockey who went insane while living his life trapped in cubicle world. So, I walked off the job three years ago and since then have cobbled together various employments. Right now, I'm a Classical Music Host, and a radio news anchor, and, occasionally, a professional stage and commercial actor. I'm a lot poorer than I used to be, but also a lot happier. I enjoy classical music (duh!), classic movies, attempting to lose weight, my dogs, nature walks, and occasionally, vegetable gardening. And I'm thinking about grad school.

Its really hard to find people with my same values to date...lol, so I thought I'd look up and see if there was a veg dating sight. Nice to know :D. I'm vegetarian, would be vegan if I could stand soy milk and cheese (sorry... don't like it). I don't wear leather, fur, or silk. I don't hunt, or even squish bugs. I'm 24 years old and have been veg for approximately 3 years now fully. I can't imagine living any other way. I get called a liberal hippie everywhere I go...lol, as I'm sure many of you experience also. I'm Wiccan, there was no option for that on religion so I thought I'd tell you here. Earth based religion as I am sure you know, part of my basis of veg. Harm none. Therefore the only part of an animal I'll consume is the part that didn't harm them. Luckily there are "nice" options of that in the stores now or I'd be without milk or cheese (skim and fat free). I'm also a health nut all around, eat squeaky clean healthy and work out like a fiend. I really hate talking about myself so msg me if you wanna talk :)

I have lived on the west coast and overseas most of my adult life. The last 15 years was spent in South Africa, although I lived in England and Botswana as well. I have recently returned to the place of my birth in order to be closer to my family. I see life more from a global perspective. I am a published photographer and writer. Althought I do not do it professionally. I still hope to write the great novel that is somewhere inside me. Most of my work is non-fiction. I love to photograph wild nature and the beauty of the earth and heavens. I suppose that is one of the reason I fell in love with Africa. The primal nature of the wild and beauty of the untamed bits are intoxicating, like a glass of champagne. Although I may seem more than eclectic in my approach to life, I am actually quite conservative. My upbringing in the South gave me that foundation. Being up in the clouds can be very wonderful, but keeping one's feet on the ground is still a necessity. That way we can co-create Heaven on Earth.
