A special little e-mail just reminded me that I'm on this site... so I figured what the heck why not update this thing? I'm a wild land firefighter by summer and soon-to-be world traveling vagabond by winter. I'm pretty dedicated to animal rights, but seeing the site we're on, you probably guessed that. I graduated with a BA in Music and Economics, both subjects that fascinate me greatly. Music, a basic part of who I am; Economics a vastly misunderstood and controversial science. I think way too much about absolutely everything and so sometimes I like to balance that out with some time spent on the more primal/instinctual side of things. Just moved to central Alberta. Plan is to stay at least a couple of years then who knows. I spend most of my time exercising, working at my rad new job!!, cooking tasty food, watching the odd movie with my lovely cats, hanging out with those i love, working on one project or another, reading as there is always textbooks to review or new knowledge to be gained or an amazing story that i must be part of, traveling when i can and riding my sweet new bike (she's a beaut!) or if its the winter xcountry skiing. Never been on one of these so here goes! I am a loving individual who finds family to be the most important aspect of life. After receiving my education at the University of Toronto, I moved back to Edmonton to be with my supportive and loving brother who needed me around. I am grateful that I did, family has reminded me how powerful we are as individuals and as a collective. Since moving back I have progressively come into myself. I am almost vegetarian (I eat seafood and eggs), and am a dedicated yoga practitioner. I LOVE working out and being active; with my ex of 3 years, I was much lazier and depressed on a daily basis, plus school didn’t help, but now I am an even happier me and LOVE living life! I also dance and do some singing as well. I am always on the go and enjoy being busy. I have been vegan for about 2 years now and mostly veg for about a year before that. I became vegan for ethical reasons, and will stay vegan for ethical, health and environmental reasons. I believe in minimizing our impact on the environment. I buy only organic produce, local when possible and fair trade. I try not to eat anything that contains GMOs. I enjoy a plant-based, whole food diet, about 1/2 of it raw.
Besides living a healthy, ethical and environmentally conscious lifestyle some of the things that bring joy to my life and feed my spirit are spending time in nature and dancing. I love to spend time in the mountains and SCUBA diving in tropical waters. I have been lucky enough to have worked on the island of Curacao for 3 months and in that time got in over 50 awe inspiring dives. I have also had the amazing experience of living and working in Australia for three years. I loved exploring that unique environment and seeing its exotic animals and birds.
I am fit, active, healthy, playful, adventurous, affectionate, intelligent, romantic, easy going, professionally employed gentleman, who is comfortable in anything from jeans to a tux. Separated about 5 months and enjoying living the life I love but miss having someone to share it with.
My favourite indoor activity is dancing. I go out ballroom or country dancing 2 to 3 evenings a week. When I hear music, I can’t help moving to it. Dancing is great for so many reasons, but what makes it very special is when you are dancing with the one you love. The fun of a swing, cha-cha, two-step and merengue or the romantic flow of the waltz and nightclub slow, or the passion of the rumba and tango, moving in harmony to the music, what could be better? I am told I am a good and patient partner and I don’t take it too seriously. Learning together and laughing at our mistakes is all part of the experience.
In case you don't find me handsome, at least you will find me handy. I can fix just about anything (except cars). I can do all kinds of basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical stuff and can cook up some pretty good vegan meals. I work in the Information Technology industry, so I am fix your computer too.
I am an environmentalist and my political views would be considered left wing. I am not into acquiring stuff, and I value things that have no monetary value and try to live a sustainable lifestyle. The path I have chosen is not easy, but my values are too important to me to compromise and don’t stop me from enjoying my life. I have been separated since Sept 2012, and I am happier now that the marriage is over. Money will be tight for a while as I have support payments and some debt to pay off.
One last thing, I don’t really fit in any box or circle. I am a thinker and a feeler; at times I am very analytical at others emotional. I am very practical and yet a dreamer. I am both a geek and an athlete. In some situations I am quiet and reserved, in others outgoing and passionate. I am fascinated by both the complex and the simple. I like to do things just for fun, but also a desire to be the best I can be.

About me, uhm well lets see, I'm currently a college student (my 3rd time in college) for hairstyling, after that I hope to obtain a business degree and go on to take advanced courses in makeup to work on film/music video sets (Unless, yknow, I become a rockstar myself) I am an extremely ambitious person, I could tell you that my bucket list is quite long with many of them having to do with travelling around the world. Was vegetarian before going full veg about about 4 years ago. Always have been a compassionate to all that lives person so my diet choice really couldn't of gone any other way.
I play guitar, sing, songwrite and do the whole band thing. Music has always been a huge passion of mine. I work as an EMT on an ambulance here in the city. I love the martial arts and practice jiu jitsu regularly. Huge into the outdoors thing too. Don't go camping or hiking as much as I would like but is definitley on my top 10 list. Try to do as much personal development as possible while still taking time to appreciate where I am now. I've been told I'm funny. I think I'm hilarious but I have an odd sense of humour. Always try to end the day a better person then when I woke up.

"Focused free-spirited big-thinking young entrepreneur & activist on a mission!" Still in the process of starting/building my internet-based consulting company, which eventually I'll be able to run from anywhere in the world (I work from home right now). So once I get it off the ground, I'd like to move to Panama or Costa Rica (hopefully in less than 2yrs). My 'BFF' is my 3y/o pitbull, Beastie (but that's just 'cuz Calgary kinda sux to be a non-smoking, non-drinking, conscious-thinking vegan/organic-ist). Had him since he was born. He's AWESOME! Constantly gets comments like: "What a GORGEOUS dog" or "That's the best looking dog I've EVER seen" (& I'm not exaggerating) :D Chronologically I'm 27, but biologically (head/heart) I often feel like I'm still in my young teens, even though my maturity-age would sometimes be late 30's, with the wisdom of a very aged/old soul (although, of course, the more I learn, the more I know the less I know). I'm an avid life-long learner & a big/deep thinker. Oh yeah, and a KIK-ASS drummer too!

Wow, this is great just found this site and thought I'd give it a try. I've been a vegetarian for about 3 years now. As of now I don't have any vegetarian friends, and I think it would be great to meet someone that I could go out and have diner with. About me; I grew up in Ontario, spent the last five years in Yellowknife, and moved to Calgary a month ago for a new job. I'm really excited to be here in Calgary.
