Hello! My name is Melanie. Who am I? What am I like? There's a lot to me--far too much to get from a self-summary on a profile on an online dating site. But at my core? I'm passionate. I'm loving. I'm curious. Inquisitive. I LOVE learning. I really, really like fuzzy animals. I get excited about a lot of things, and I get excited about things a lot. When I get REALLY excited about things, I squeal. Not on purpose, necessarily--it just happens. Particularly often around cute, fuzzy animals.

I'm creative, inventive and independent, the combination of which being why I'm self-employed. My job is my passion, and vice versa. I come up with a LOT of ideas. If they're particularly good ones and I really want them to happen, I'll make them happen. I set my goals quite high, and am only satisfied if I am constantly striving for greatness. I am always in search of a partner with a similar outlook so we can inspire and help each other forward on our respective paths.

I'm a 4w3 sx/so ENFP. If you happen to know what some or all of that means and find it interesting, we'd probably have some interesting conversations.

Traditionalist, dreamer, romantic, optimist...call me what you will, but I firmly believe that there is someone out there for me, and that I will know when I have found that person. Not necessarily right away, mind you; I don't know if I believe in "love at first sight", per se. But I do intend to spend the rest of my life with one special person, and I do think that from my relationships and life experiences thus far that I know enough about myself, about others, and about what I want, what I need, and what I have to give to have a pretty good idea right away if a relationship with someone is worth pursuing.

What that last part translates to with regard to online dating is that I can be somewhat selective in whom I contact and with whom I engage in conversation. If I'm reeeeeally pretty sure for some reason that we're not right for each other (unreconcilable ideological differences, 50-year age gap, etc.), I don't want to waste your time OR mine. It's time we can be spending finding the right person, after all. BUT if someone wants to really get to know me and there's a chance we might have a good connection, I'll generally respond.

I can be intense. I know I'm not for everybody. But I also know that, when it comes down to it, I only have to be right for one person in the end. :)
