Farmington, new_hampshire vegetarians, vegans and raw foodist events and singles dating

I've been vegan for the last 6+ months, prior to that was vegetarian for over 5 years.  I'm very compassionate when it comes to animals and conscientious about the widespread abuse of those who are most vulnerable in the world, including animals. I also care about my health and do my best to take care of myself. I've also recently started to learn how to cook, but I'm a newbie right now when it comes to that. I did take a class recently though that had some awesome recipes.



About me: I have a solid career/no baggage/my act together, I feel I'm pretty good looking, intelligent, have a good sense of humor/am generally light-hearted, take care of myself/keep myself in shape, I'm a very giving person, sometimes perhaps too much even, I'm conscientious. I'm looking to be committed in a long-term relationship with a woman who is like-minded. I've never been married, never had kids, and I'm not involved with anyone either. I have always believed in the principles of committment and in building a strong family-unit. I don't know what more could be reasonably wanted or expected of a person. Considering what else is out there these days I feel I've got a lot more to offer a woman than the average single guy walking the street.

I've been working as an RN since 2007. I run a unit of 42 residents at the county nursing home....currently working the night shift. I started as an LNA there nearly 9 years ago and then put myself through nursing school to become an RN. It's not easy to work full time and go to school full time, but it wasn't the first time in my life I've done it either. It's challenging work but can be rewarding in more than one way. I also have a B/S in computer science/business. I've paid my dues and then some. 8 years of full time college credits, all told...8 years! /O:

I play guitar (mostly acoustic, though have played some organ/piano as well) and have written a few originals that I feel are pretty good.  I've been doing it off and on for the better part of a decade, though haven't been doing it as much these past few years when I've been concentrating on my nursing career. I've been very well received during open mics I've done in the past though, and I'm intent on getting serious about it now. It's been kind of a slow process getting back into it for me though, kind of a 2 steps forward and 1 step back sort of thing. Currently working on getting down a few select originals along with a cover or two.


I have a 1 year old min pin and he's cute as all hell and sweet as can be. He is playful and a bit wild. That's one of his endearing traits at times, other times it can be a bit of a PITA (that isn't people for the ethical treatment of animals, either). On the whole I do a pretty good job keeping him in check though. But I do love him to pieces.

As far as what I'm looking for, well that could simply be described as my "other half."  The woman who would make me feel whole and complete.  I'm pretty open minded, and I'm not all that picky when it comes to superficial details, but I would definitely prefer to be with another vegan, which is why I am here.  To me it takes a person with a special kind of heart to care about those who suffer yet have no voice of their own to be heard.  Sadly few do these days, and above all else I'm looking for a woman with a very good heart.
