I'm a nerdy, sloppy, insecure bookworm. I was blonde until I dyed my hair red last summer to dress up as Mrs. Weasley from Harry Potter. Now I'm half-blonde/half-red. Books I've liked include The Children's Book, by A.S. Byatt (fiction about an artistic community in late Victorian/Edwarian England) & Reading Lolita in Tehran (nonfiction), which prompted me to reread the books it discussed. I like movies, music, and live theater. I'm lazy and not in great shape, but I really like both hiking and swimming. My current Netflix shipment is Ally McBeal, Being John Malkovich, and Sunset Boulevard. I have 3 grown kids who are intelligent, interesting people. If I weren't related to them, they'd be people I'd want to know. In 2 weeks, I will have finished a degree in Special Education. Hopefully, I'll get a classroom in the fall. For now I work in an office. I've been a vegetarian for close to 25 years.
