Long story short. I love nature, and am outdoors as much as possible. I spend my summers and weekends swimming in the Kaweah River, hiking or climbing the Sierra Nevada, or working in my yard. I enjoy boulder hopping, jumping from high spots, hiking to find new places, taking pictures of nature, exploring caves and other seldom seen parts of the Sierra, climbing peaks and other high spots, camping, finding quiet spots to relax, playing pretty much any sport, walking for fun and fitness, swimming in my pool, laying in my hammock and looking up, traveling to see other places of natural beauty, hot springs, multi-day backcountry hikes, gardening, landscaping, teaching earth science and environmental horticulture (greenhouse and landscaping) to high school kids, sharing my love of the outdoors with others. I am pretty much vegan (the occasional organic, free-range, veggie-fed, unfertilized eggs), eat organic/local, and try to live a green, chemical-free, earth-friendly, healthy lifestyle.
