When it comes to interests and activities, I’m honestly up for nearly anything. I have a wide array of musical interests (one of my degrees is in music), fascination for both the performing and visual arts (I dance), borderline obsession with science fiction, sincere love for being outdoors (I'm a Midwestern country girl, you can take the girl out of the country...), enjoyment of (polite) political discussions, and a constant desire to learn about or experience something previously unknown to me (there's so much I have yet to discover in this world!). I'm happy spending an evening at the Dorothy Chandler or hanging out at home.
I can’t adequately express my passion for my profession, education. It breathes life into me and forces me to realize that no matter how horrid our world might be, there is hope for the future. My job also exhausts me; I truly put my heart and soul into each day. If you’re in a “job” that pays your bills, then great for you, but I really need to be with someone who can identify with having a profound interest and enthusiasm for what they do during the majority of their day. I am an educator, it is part of what makes me who I am.

Hi. I maintian a mostly vegetarian/vegan diet both for ethical reasons and because it is the healthiest way to eat. I enjoy running, working out, practicing martial arts, going to the beach (especially in the morning or evening), taking walks/hiking, nature and being outdoors in general, reading, learning, astronomy, music, cooking and going out to dinner (some of my favorites are Thai, Italian, Greek, Middle Eastern, and vegetarian).

passionate vegan, also been mainly raw/fruity recently and loving how it makes me feel but it doesn't stop me from going out or having the occosional drink ;) Teaching yoga and loving it, working in a place surrounded by lovely interesting people who are into alternative healing but still find it difficult to find people who really understand veganism as a life style choice and not a diet fad. Love to see more of the world, go back to India and learn more. Besides yoga I love running, doing a little bit of weights and want to get into climbing more,... cycling all the time and would love to go on a long adventure cycling/walking tour! I am outgoing, friendly and enjoy doing social things when with a partner. I find when I am single I tend to stay home more, which I also enjoy very much. Movies, hiking, good conversation and being outdoors are a few things I enjoy. My property is a mini-sanctuary for several species of birds. Plus I share my home with cats and care for a dog that I found (he needs a home). Spending my time outside with these interesting creatures is fantastic. Plus it is so beautiful here and the weather is great. My serious side involves animal rescue work and maintaining my health. Trying to live gently and be environmentally considerate has led me to a vegan lifestyle. I earn my living as a pharmacist, but I am actually more of an anti-pharmacist! Prevention and acquiring good habits are the keys to a vital and long life. I work in a hospital and know that western medicine plays an important role as well. Recently I installed a PV system to my home. So sad that solar panels are not on every business and government building in the southwest, with the abundant sunshine.

About me, I've been vegetarian since leaving home town for San Diego in 1992 and try to keep the dairy/eggs to a minimum, especially at home. I have two dogs and four cats (2 fosters that never found a home) so while I'm hoping make like minded friends, I really hope to find someone to share my lief with at home including my small petting zoo at home. I prefer live bands in small venues, outdoor music festivals but not into the dance club scene. I am expecting to be a father at the start of 2012 and expect to share responsibilities of raising my son with his mother. At this point in my life, I'm not I'm not interested in having any more children but I would be interested in someone who already has children of her own. My favorite thing to do in my free time is ride my road bike or hike/run/backpack with one of my dogs. I've also done a lot of backpacking and skydiving in the past and have recently picked up kayaking.

I'm a gluten-free, vegetarian/border-line vegan and have been veggie for close to 20 years. I'm a divorced dad of 3 (b18, b11, g9). A fascinated observer of the butterfly effect... I could be described as a slightly mad, energetic, well educated, somewhat bohemian, vegetarian arts entrepreneur / musician.
Some of my favourite things are festivals, gigs, sessions, learning, history, philosophy, anthropology, classic cars, moonlit walks, exploring new landscapes… I’m particularly into rootsy music (folk, world, jazz, blues) and play out live when I can.
I’m a fun loving yet deep and responsible person who abhors any sort of prejudice… honest, reliable, faithful, undeniably wild and romantic, creative, funny and with a well developed dense of the surreal!
Like any decent person I want to see an end to violence, poverty, third world debt, cruelty to people and animals, also quite a few other awful things endemic in 21st century society. How about a bit of peace, love and understanding instead?

I searched for this veggie dating website. I figure, if I can find someone who eats like I do, that's half the battle. By the way, I have recently begun eating like 99% veggie. I may still eat a bite of meat or fish here or there, if I 'm at someone's party, or their home. I recently watched a bunch of videos on longetivity. I realized that there are three key ingredients to longetivity; diet, social groups, and exercise. I am very athletic. I would love to meet someone who would bike ride with me. I ticked the "Atheist" box, but in daily practice, I find my religion in walking, playing guitar, and doing the dishes. That's a trinity I can live with.

I've been vegan for 21 years. For me it's about a moral evolution. There is plenty of other food to eat without killing animals. I try to eat healthy and exercise. The human body was built to move. I kickbox and lift weights 4-5 days a week on average. Recently went indoor rock climbing and would love to go again with someone. I like to play tennis, bowl, check out new veggie restaurants, and recently started playing the guitar again. I'm not into chaos and drama. I can be very serious and very silly. Goofy faces are a specialty of mine. I am a bit shy at first. I think chivalry still has it's place. Am a bit of an introvert, but selectively extroverted. I enjoy my time alone, but would love to spend some quality time with someone new. I'm very loyal. I read Chuck Palahniuk,Douglas Adams, and Richard Dawkins. I love the show Dexter and 30 Rock. I like all kinds of movies, from indies to big blockbusters; Memento is my favorite. I take walks in the park when I can. I recently quit my job of 10 years in retail management to start my own personal training business. It's a little scary, but exciting and it's something I'm passionate about.

Nature and the Arts mean everything to me. Consider me because I'm ethical, thoughtful, passionate, compassionate, smarter than a 5th grader, super silly, semi-funny, & perpetually progressing. In a nutshell, I am: very conscientious, physically fit, active, a hiker, an avid reader, an animal lover, an occasional tv watcher, an NPR lover, an organic gardener, a pretty good cook, a news junkie, and an amateur science buff. I have a silly sense of humor. I collect corny jokes. I don't listen to music much (don't hold it against me, please). Don't go to movies very often either. I have dogs. We live in the Black Hills, and we hike at least once a week. I spend as much of my free time outdoors as possible, climbing the hills. I'm not a frequent drinker, but I like to have a couple of beers with friends once in awhile. I love sports, especially football. I have a small family, with whom I'm very close. Regarding relocation, in August I'll be moving to the eastern side of South Dakota to finish grad school. I'll probably be there for two years, and then after that, I don't know.

recent career change to IT
i chose vegan as my diet, but technically i'm still a flexigan. i prefer not to eat meat & dairy, as well as sugar and gluten, for the health benefits and the fact that i don't seem to digest meat well; however, if i'm in the mood (maybe once a week), i'll eat whatever.
i have an incredible dog; he eats raw meat (species-specific diet)
i enjoy a variety of exercise/activities (kettlebell, biking, boxing, pilates)

I've lived in four countries and visited five more. I've lived in a large city and in small towns and villages. I have lived at 'the end of the road' and on sheep-infested Scottish islands. I love animals but I love people even more. I have a lot of empathy and compassion and I like to solve problems. I can't tell long jokes and I don't enjoy pranks...but I am a big fan of witty one-liners.
Underneath my capable exterior is a fairly interesting somebody. I am devoted to my small family (teenage son and our dog) and would like to meet somebody who enjoys human (and canine) relationships as much as I do. I may not be everyone's cup of tea but I might be your cup of tea (or whatever it is you want on a daily basis). I won't 'settle' because I'm confident that the guy with the right kind of awesome is out there.
