One thing that really gets me excited about this is that I don't have to try to justify being a vegetarian. I absolutely adore animals. My dog is basically my child. I got my degree in Zoology and am currently teaching 7th grade. I love my job, because I get to talk about my passion (science) and teach kids how to love it, too. I also feel like I am able to make a difference in the lives of these kids.
Another job that I get to participate in is doing field research around the Great Salt Lake in Utah. I help study birds. This opportunity has been so amazing, because I get to see things that very few people get to see.
Other things you should know about me--I love to travel and try to visit a new place every year. I don't always reach that goal, but I try to make it happen. I love to read and will sometimes even reread books that I have absolutely fallen in love with. I will admit that I love Jane Austen books (I know, so stereotypical) but also love other genres. I am a very loyal person, a compassionate person. I love to laugh and can be a little nerdy at times. I find puns hilarious--probably much funnier than they actually are!
