Well lets start here, I've been 85% raw vegan and 95% organic for the last 12 years and wish it was a lot longer. I was a trampolinist and gymnast and would have been sooo much better off with that type of diet. I love keeping active and meeting other people with the same ideas. I love all animals and that love of animals is the reason I made changes to my diet. The health aspect is a factor also, but it's secondary to me. I'm not fully vegan yet, but I am trying to get there. Animal rights and animal welfare issues are very important to me. I should mention that I have three dogs, all adopted. They are faithful friends and companions. All three are Jack Russell Terriers.
I enjoy music and film. My tastes in music cover a wide gamut and include jazz, classical, alternative, folk, etc. In film, I especially like foreign film. When I watch TV, my first choice is usually PBS.
My exercise of choice is running. I'm not a fanatic. No marathons. Just enough to stay in decent shape. Also, taking my dogs for daily walks.

Hmmm.... How does a person who has lived better than half a century describe themself in under 500 words? First of all, I am a Hufflepuff and a Deadhead. I am owned by a very lovely kitty named Lady Elvendork. She occasionally lets me out but she invariably makes her displeasure known if I am gone for too long. Quite the taskmaster, is she. I am vegan though not so exacting that I won't eat something made in the same facility as products that are made with animal. I am a big fan of baking although, with the exception of bread, my results are sketchy at best. Still, it's great fun and spending time experimenting with vegan ingredients keeps me off the streets. Movies and books are big in my home and I'm always ready to see live music. I'm not able to see Dead & Co. in San Francisco this year but I am looking forward to Goose, moe., Slightly Stoopid, and the Outlaw Festival (I haven't seen Dylan since the last Dead tour in '95 so this should be good).
Spiritually, I consider myself Christo-Pagan (it's a thing, I promise you). I am panromantic, gray-sexual, and demi-girl and my pronouns are she/they. I am, obviously, open to anyone and will always respect who you are and expect the same.

I started eating vegetarian back in the early 2000s. At first it was just simple foods, but then 3 years living in the US introduced me to fake meats, which caused me to develop a soy and gluten sensitivity. I've since found healing in eating whole foods, and mostly raw living food. I love my Vitamix Blender! I do still eat cooked veggies when eating out. I was watching The Blue Zones and found it very interesting that a Christian group in California was living very healthility and outliving the average citizen. How about you? How did you get into eating plant-based?
