I'm living in the woods outside the city. I have a family of deer that have decided to make my backyard their home. A family of foxes live across the stream and I have a family of raccoons living in the hollow of a tree outside my window. I feed them dog food and table scraps and love them and keep my trash inside.
Because of the lack of direct sunlight in my yard, I end up gardening indoors. I am currently conducting a massive aeroponics experiment. I have more herbs than I know what to do with, so I make tons of pesto and give them away to anyone who will take them.
I try to take advantage of the trails and rivers in the area when the weather is nice and when I have some free time. While I have a need to be active and love working out in the mornings as well mountain biking and hiking and paddle-boarding on the weekends, I also find it necessary to take time to stop to be still and grounded, and am working on learning the balance.
