I've been vegan 27 yrs. Probably led to that decision more on the environmental aspects of meat eating than animal rights. My feelings toward animal rights changed, as I grew more connected to the life force within myself and all living things. Why do animals' play and birds soar at sunset without looking for food? They must have something deeper than we give them credit for. And who gave us the right to judge. I'm rambling. I'm not very well read on the different religions but feel an inner peace and closeness to my imagined god by making choices that are good to me and the rest of the world.
