I am a postdoctoral scientist at Rutgers, studying the impacts of climate change on various ecosystems (focused on Arctic and Antarctic warming/melting). More speficially I study how microbes in the environment are responding to a warming climate and potentially becoming more active/contributing to greenhouse gases.

Over the years I have tried several times to be vegetarian/vegan and failed most attempts. I'm trying to be vegetarian again now and I'm going to make it this time! It might be easier if I had more friends who were in that state of mind, though, rather than insatiable carnivores :)

I'm a major geek/nerd. I'm fascinated by science and tech, especially A.I./robotics. LIKES: I love science fiction and attend a regular sci-fi book club (Asimov is one of my favorites), comic books/graphic novels, fantasy (Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, Hobbit movies, etc).

I like being outdoors in nature though I don't get as much of that as I would like. I workout at a gym and do cardio and take hikes/walks regularly.

My companion through life currently is an adorable cuddly black cat named Merlin <3
