My description: Originally a carnivorous east-coaster, I've now lived in Santa Monica for over 4 years and been vegan for almost 2. I 'saw the light' after meeting a long-time vegan and doing some investigating of my own. It made sense to me on all levels; I'm a very non-violent person and the thought of torturing animals for food became very disturbing to me. I'm also fairly environmentally conscious (no car! R!R!R!) and the meat-earth connection had never been presented to me before. It is hands-down the best decision I've ever made. I'm a painter at heart with a day-job to pay the bills. Love the arts, the woods, the mountains & water. Not quite sure how I ended up in the smog capital of the US, but I imagine it has something to do with the ocean. Hoping to eventually move to a more nature-friendly, more calm environment.
