My description: I have been a vegetarian for most of my life. I love animals & I don't understand how people who don't live somewhere like Alaska can eat them. I try not to judge (most my friends are carnivores) but it is upsetting especially knowing about factory farming... I am looking for other veggie people to hang with. I like all sorts of people. I am not looking to be with people 'just like me'. Life is a learning experience. I do hate snobbery though and I only like drama in the movies. As long as someone has good intentions we usually get along. As for myself, I still need to go back to college for a career in environmental science or helping animals. I don't want to be stuck in a miserable job just for the pay check. I need to be helping animals and the environment or I will feel worthless. Unfortunately, I am a horrible procrastinator until I get involved in something. I rescue stray cats in my neighborhood and try desperately to find them homes as I hate to TNR (trap neuter release) because it is such a rough life for them in the winter.
Seeking: I was looking for vegetarian social groups to meet more of "my people" when I came across this site. What a great idea; I could never be with a meat eater. I'm not looking to date now but I am always happy to "meat" other veg-people. I am also interested in meeting others who are passionate about helping animals. It would be great if a bunch of us could get together for a vegetarian gather or to educate/inform one another on fighting animal and environmental injustices... I only know a handful of vegetarians. Where have you all been hiding? If anyone knows of any relative upcoming events or info etc Drop me a line please! Hope none of your pets have been effected by the recall. Take care
