My description:
I'm sitting here at the computer, just another ad, like so many things we see on the internet. I am actually a person, though. A person striving for self-sustainability and improvement, while every day is different. I have a lot of building ahead of me. Playing music is essential to my spiritual survival. I need to reinforce that when I have a difficult mission like, oh, saving the world. I consider myself a very critical thinker, so I'm continually looking for the best ways to create tangible change for the better. I am a hyper-conscious minimal consumer... and an aspiring nutritarian. I need something to aspire to, right?
I also find it really necessary to be physically active, in work and in life. The human body is not designed to be sitting and staring at a screen for eight hours a day! So I'm well suited to my occupation of audio/video/lighting stagehand for all kinds of entertainment and special events - the kind of work that continuously engages your brain and body. It's not very reliable mind you, but it's the best compromise that the anarchist in me has so far figured out. I still have all my tools from my time as a construction electrician.
I've played drums and baritone sax for a long time, but more often you'll see me playing tuba, which I'm still fairly new to. Meanwhile, I work on writing and arranging songs for my social justice brass band. It's an ongoing struggle, but you can't let go of your life's work!
Seeking:
I am seeking someone who can truly appreciate life itself, and the eternal curiousity of exploration. Someone who understands the beauty and instinctual need to sometimes be still and let the moment saturate you. Someone who can see the beauty of a weed in the sidewalk cracks and the rat in the subway tracks. More than anything, someone who can teach and inspire me. Let's share our collective wisdom! And improve the world any way we can.
