My description:
— I've been a vegetarian, sometimes vegan, for ˜60 years.
— I've been living in the Florida Keys for 45 years.
— I lived in the northern USA mid-west for ~25 years.
— I lived ~2 years in China (Taiwan) working as an English teacher.
— I married a Chinese woman and we had a son and daughter.
— She died of cancer many years go when the children were very young.
— I raised my son and daughter as a single father from their early childhood.
— My kids have graduated from universities and are both in U.S. Air Force.
— I often bicycle and occasionally kayak, boat, sail, & snorkel.
— I prefer to prepare my own very simple whole food and I rarely dine out.
— I occasionally do short fasts and have done longer fasts of two weeks.
— I have no pets, but I feed a couple of neighborhood cats daily.
— I prefer to live in a very warm climate near the ocean.
— I have a Masters degree in Information Technology.
— I previously taught computer classes full-time for 9 years at a public college.
— I recently retired from the US Government doing classified computer work.
— I now am retired and doing recreational programming and studying AI.
— I own a duplex and rent half of it to supplement Soc. Sec. income.
— My life has been one of jarring ironies: homeless and impoverished for several years,
later paid off 2 homes & own a 3rd presently; a high school dropout at 16 and hippie vagabond in the 60s, later a tenured college professor;
jailed a few times (unjustly), later I prosecuted a civil case pro se up to SCOTUS, to name a few ironies in my life.
Seeking:
Frankly, I don't know what kind of person I'm looking for. I have been without any mate (short or long term) for over 25 years. Frankly, I'm quite content with my own company, not very social, and rarely (if ever) lonely. Nonetheless, I'd like to find someone with whom I have some natural chemistry, to accompany me on recreational travels in an RV or sail/power/house boat. I have very little interesed in travel to cities, just want to see the natural wonders of this world.
