My description:

I'm a longtime vegetarian for many decades who's transitioning to vegan. Expressive, smart, unique, talkative yet introspective, always curious, direct, sensitive, determined, unpretentious, strong-willed, urban, sensible, and a grounded realistic person. A good sense of humor and/or basic wit is important because life really requires it.

A true Chicagoan, both born and home-grown with deep tap roots. Gardening is in my blood and it's a great outlet for myself on many levels.

I'm moderately active, and try remain true to myself. Trying to age naturally and gracefully in mind, body, and soul. I’d rather listen to a podcast or an audible book than watch any sports game, seriously speaking. I’m somewhat outwardly progressive, yet my core beliefs are much more conventional than I am willing to admit. Naturally prone to being more introverted yet pretty talkative sometimes.

I enjoy more thought-provoking, cerebral films and lean towards alternative and mostly dance-type music. Environmentally interested in eco/green technology, horticulture, and landscaping, so I do actively recycle, compost, mulch, and plant mostly native varieties. I enjoy ongoing home-improvement restoration projects. 

Truthfully, I have never smoked nor did drugs - ever. An occasional glass of wine with dinner only. Nothing extreme here from no crazy colored hair, zero tattoos or body piercings except standard earrings. Lastly a spiritual foundation is important with universal belief in a higher power does matter to me. 

I'm open to penpals but let's be practical here regarding distance and geography issues.

Seeking:

Looking for a SWM penpal, friendship, or perhaps a possible relationship (e.g. pertains to local guys only). Someone who’s authentic, genuine, decent, open-minded and a somewhat moderate progressive mentality. My ultimate wishlist: Intelligence, originality, integrity, compassionate, honest, self-acceptance, self-starter, perpetual learner, understanding, etc. Seeking someone to compliment and/or enhance my life but not necessarily be a carbon-copy of myself. 

I'm by no means a globe-trekker or habitual traveler either so basic cultural awareness and curiosity will suffice. Usually shorter weekend trips or excursions when time permits. An overabundance of material possessions and financial status doesn't easily impress me but living comfortably within ones’ own means does. Inner peace and strength of character matters much more as I have learned. 

I never post photos but I'm not adverse to them yet I protect my privacy here. Visual description: blonde shoulder length hair, blue eyes, fair complexion, and definitely more European looking in appearance and style.
