My description:
Native of Texas, but new to El Paso. Currently working with immigrants and refugees, and love what I do.
My primary hobby is travel (backpacking), and I have done so extensively, both in the United States and abroad, primarily throughout Asia, Central America, and Mexico, but also a few countries in Africa, as well as some brief forays into Europe, Canada and South America.
For MBTI aficionados I am an INFJ, and a particularly introverted one at that. I am a veteran and have been a vegetarian and on-again-off-again vegan since early 2008.
I studied Buddhism for two years in Kathmandu, though I am not religious or even spiritual. I suppose I am curious but skeptical. Whatever else may be, I try to cultivate kindness and openness every day.
I enjoy hiking, reading (though I have fallen out of the habit of late), and playing the occasional video game (mostly RPGs). Also red wine and interesting conversation.
