I'm here looking for some kindred spirits....
I love getting lost in nature and in pursuit of wild things, and in people, experiences, stories, and dreams.
I am a happy and quirky ethical vegan FTA, with a history of animal activism and law. I love and laugh easily, and cherish time with family and friends, but am also very content being alone to relish this existence.
I have a West Coast heart, but left a few years ago to take a long and windy road to someplace else. Along the way, I've found tremendous joy in life near the ocean and/or mountains, every creature that crosses my path, good food co-ops and veggie restaurants, photography museums, activists, wild places, indie film theaters, road trips, crumbling stone structures, farm sanctuaries, mushroom hunting, roadside farm stands, rogue apple trees, drive-in picture shows, camping, farms (esp. Transfarmations), historic towns with thriving main streets, pinball, ferry boats, World Heritage Sites, thai food with marmots, adventures of all kinds, beaches teeming with hermit crabs, coastal live oaks draped in spanish moss, alligator ponds, carniverous plants, wild horses, nature programs and hiking with friends.
Just a gentle spirit looking to connect with other good humans to make each other's stories even more interesting.

I love humble, passionate and compassionate people who laugh easily, share themselves readily, and keep open minds and hearts. We all have emotional and physical scars, but scars are beautiful; baggage is not. I'm not a good buddy for discussing news headlines, politics, war, or business deals, sorry -- I'll just dissapoint you, if that's what you're hoping for. I'll always listen if you want to share your thoughts, but will have little to offer to fuel your discussion.
I'm searching for friends who share some of these interests, regardless of their current location, as mine is undecided after this next year, or two. I am currently separated over 2 years, pending a divorce.
