My description:
I'm most comfortable in shorts and a t-shirt, but don't mind dressing up once in a while. I've been told I'm a good listener. I care deeply about beings (humans and animals) who have been marginalized and oppressed. I've been studying NVC (non-violent communication) for the past 4 years and am trying to up my compassion game. I work primarily as a personal trainer and fitness instructor and spend a fair bit of time working out so I can keep doing the activities I love as I get older. I also DJ on the side. I like to cook and would love to experiment with some new recipes. I love the sauna, steam, and the beach, but I'm not a swimmer. I enjoy indie films and catching live bands and also am a sports fan (I watched nearly every match of the Women's World Cup), but each year I spend less and less time as a spectator. I'm curious about the world around me and enjoy exploring new places even if it's just a neighborhood in New York City. For more than 20 years I've co-led pub and pizza crawls (always with vegan options) as well as other types of crawls. I've been an ethical vegan since 2012 and before that I was veggie for 30 years.
