My description:

I'm an animal rights activist with a passion to help the voiceless and dissolve the industry built on profits from mass murder of the innocent.

I believe in inalienable rights of ALL sentient beings therefore I do not discriminate based on species. Equality for ALL.

I've been doing street activism for a number of years in various movements, including political, environmental, social justice (BLM), but my heart is with animal rights so I'm full-time in that movement now. Focusing on two campaigns right now, including one that prompted us to sue the city of Los Angeles due to our freedom of speech being heavily infringed upon. Actual words of a peace officer "You can stand there quietly with a sign but if you say anything, you'll be arrested". So I was, twelve times. Cases never filed since the city attorney saw the error of their ways and told them to stop.

I sometimes hear my type of activism described as "militant" but it's not violent in any way, just very passionate in-your-face activism. Most annoying to the public. Nonviolent movements have historically been the most successful, the Civil Rights movement being a well known example. Cops sometimes come in riot gear, follow us by helicopters, only for us to hand them pretty flowers ;-)

Even though it's all nonviolent, protests do disrupt the business status quo so we're often confronted by police since their primary goal is to protect business, not freedom of speech. None of my arrests ever end up in court.

It took me nearly 40 years to realize that I was vegan. Shortly after that, though, I finally found the meaning for my life - to help the voiceless.

I was involved in organizing a campaign against an animal abusing corporation that was small enough we could protest effectively with a small group of local activists. This was a 14 month long campaign with actions every weekend across seven targets, including homes of Rec and Parks Dept executives within the city of LA government. We just forced the city to refuse to renew the land use contract with Griffith Park Pony Rides. This place has been exploiting animals for 74 years. We shut them down in 14 months. Pressure campaigns work.

For work, I have been in the IT industry most of my life, I fix and maintain computer networks. I sincerely enjoy my work and have been working from home lately, which my dogs love ;-)

Fixing computers was a hobby long before I realized that companies paid for this. Dream job!
