My description:

If you're like me, then you're entering a new phase in life where you're looking forward to entertaining all kinds of new possibilities. I think back when I was much younger, just out of college, and I moved out to the San Francisco area. I was only there for less than a year, but I can remember riding on a cable car, at the summit of Nob Hill, overlooking the city. As the cable car slowly and methodically found its way to the base of the incline we were traveling on, I spied a conductor in a blue cap who looked exactly like Mark Twain. I suspected this was an omen since Twain was born during the first appearance of Halley’s Comet (and died the day after its return). Suddenly we had reached the bottom of the hill and I could see a throng of people crossing the street. Was my ‘portent of things to come’ amongst this phalanx of unbridled humanity? For a short while, only a group of retreads from the 60s, a mass of disheveled hippies, filled my view. But as this unassuming group broke apart, a woman appeared as if she had emerged as a mirage from an oasis. She was holding a mat in her right hand and wearing a maroon skirt. Her blouse was white, heavily decorated with lace and embroidery. An amusing thought crossed my mind: was she a yoga instructor? But why would she be dressed in an outfit more befitting a 19th century matron working at the old Bellevue Hospital? I only saw her for less than half a minute as she turned down a shady street, and disappeared from my view forever.

Have you ever consciously imprinted an isolated scene into your mind, which normally would be immediately forgotten, but due to some strange, obstinate whim on one particular day, you committed this fleeting memory to a permanent repository in your mind? It might have been only a few days, but then it struck me. The woman, who should have already been a distant memory, became my "Jane Eyre." So you ask me, who am I looking for? Well, there were two Jane's. One was the woman who stuck to her principles and left her "comfort zone," willing to strike out on her own, and live the passionate life, despite all the uncertainty. But then there was the other: the one who heard the mysterious voice of her beloved and felt compelled to return, and enter into a passionate relationship for the rest of her days.

So which Jane are you? You can be either or, or both. You and I understand that it’s the passionate journey we take, which is the important thing. Turn the corner on that shady street; emerge from the shadows. I see the woman in the maroon skirt, walking toward me. Is it you?

A woman who is interested in following mainly a vegan diet avoiding starchy foods, eating an abundance of fruit and drinking vegetable juices.  If you also like films and theater (I write film reviews and plays) as well as music (planning to put my songs on Tunecore in the near future) and you're looking for a guy with a long-term job (I work for NYC), then perhaps I'm someone you would like to meet.
