Raw food diet.
I've been total vegetarian for more than 29 years; life member of The American Vegan Society and of the Vegetarian Society of Colorado; my raw-foods vegan diet is mostly a result of my attending the convention in Boulder, Colorado, in 1998, and my hearing there and reading words of H. Jay Dinshah and several vegan physicians, authors, and scholars.
I exclude all animal products from diet; I never wear silk, wool, or leather, and avoid them almost entirely elsewhere. My health is much improved and preserved by my doing strenuous and vigorous as well as easy exercises, drinking nothing but pure water, and eating plenty of raw fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds. I have compassion for almost all sentient creatures, especially those with central nervous systems, clear proof to my mind that they can experience misery and feel pain; I desire not to be a cause of pain, misery, suffering, or violence to anyone.
I approve and accept amost every reason I've ever seen or heard for anyone's being vegetarian. I respect the rights and beliefs of others to live in ways that they think right, and I'm adaptable to beliefs, opinions, desires, preferences, and lifestyles unlike my own. But I'm unlikely to deviate from such a total vegetarian raw-foods diet as the one I've so firmly committed myself to for so many years.
