I have deep love and respect for animals, and have found happiness in living congruently with my values. Looking into the soulful eyes of a curly haired cow led me to become vegetarian at the age of 12. Veganism knocked down my door in February 2016. I enjoy preparing and sharing food and think it's cool that I can eat raw cookie dough now :).

Much of my time is spent in nature, observing wildlife, mountain biking, hiking, backcountry skiing, kayaking and sharing time with friends and my dogs. I can also be found volunteering at companion animal shelters, farm sanctuaries, or wildlife rehabilitation facilities.

I'm curious about the world and seek new understanding, experience and perspective. Living lightly and genuinely is important to me. And when I'm not advocating for animal rights and environmental issues, I value having fun and being human.
