Long Island City, new_york vegetarians, vegans and raw foodist events and singles dating

Hmm, let's see.  I'll start with some formalities; I'm a hair stylist and part owner of a salon in NYC (been doing hair for 16 years).  I have two awesome cats that are my only roomates. Vegetarian for 12+ years and lean towards vegan these days.  I Love music but am picky with what I listen to.  I've lived in NY for over 9 years now (originally from California).  No kids and I intend to keep it that way.

The informalities; (I'll elaborate on the music I listen to) I tend to gravitate towards 80's music and no, not the generic over played radio hits from that decade.  If anyone has checked out underground 80's on soma fm, then you know what I mean.  Now that 80's music is old, a bunch of current bands that play in NY have tried to emulate that sound (yay for me).  So yeah, I go to shows a lot.

I have the ability to draw and dabble in painting, but am horribly inconsistant (trying to be better about that).  I love to travel yet hate agendas. I'm probably the laziest traveler because I tend to sit on a beach and do nothing or sit in a cafe/bar and do nothing (unless you count drinking as something, then I do that).  But it's fun in a different environment.  I like wine.. a lot and so do most of my friends.  

I eat healthfully and excercise moderately to make up for the fact that I like wine.  I do like to cook but only if it takes less than 20 minutes.  I'm a pro at making almond milk, and cashew cheese because it's super easy.

What else.. Oh yeah, I find myself watching a lot of stand up comedy lately (Louis CK, Bill Burr, Doug Stanhope, Amy Schumer).  They make me want to hang out with comedians..
