Algonquin, illinois vegetarians, vegans and raw foodist events and singles dating

I am vegan and eat a high raw diet.  Becoming vegan has had the greatest positive influence on my life.  In the past year, my general health has improved by leaps and bounds and my perspective on life has become much clearer.  I have learned a meditation technique by attending a ten day silent meditation retreat in the spring of 2013.  This was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone who has ever been interested in meditation.  I am still working on making mediation a part of my daily life.

Now anybody who knows me from prior to me taking up these lifestyle changes would be quite amused.  I find that it is important to allow ourselves to evolve and embrace new experiences.  I am looking for a woman to share my life with as it continues on this new stage of growth and opportunity.  

I was born the youngest of seven so I had a lot of attention growing up.  I entertained the family and made sure that everyone was always having fun.  That was the best way to get them to leave me something to eat at dinnertime.  My family is important and we spend the holidays together.  We all get along great.  I raised plenty of good natured hell through my school days and into college.  I left college after not knowing what I wanted to "be" and got into a fun line of work that allowed me to meet hundreds of interesting people.  In 2005, I left that fun job and got serious about a big change in work.  I now work out of my home for the past five years which cut down on my social scene.  So, here I am on match!!!

I like to go out to eat at good restaurants, go to movies, plays, live music.  I hit the gym several times a week.  I have played the guitar since I was a kid and love it.  I play my acoustic more than my electric or bass.  I used to play out in a little cover band but put it aside when I changed careers.  I wouldn't mind getting out there again soon.  I like to play songs by The Beatles, The Stones, Neil Young, Bob Dylan, Allman Brothers, The Band.  Lots of old school stuff.  (That's what happens when you are the youngest of seven and lived in a house that didn't have a television for about a year.  Lots and lots of music.)  Latest concerts that I have been to include Victor Wooten, Mickey Hart Band, and JJ Grey.  I like rock, jazz, blues, african, cuban, funk.  You name it.  Let's go see some good music together!!!

I am a liberal and would like for the woman in my life to be liberal.  Or at least not conservative.  I have many conservative friends and family, so no offense to conservatives.  I just don't want Fox News or any of the convoluted logic that comes along with conservatism to be so present.  

I am interested in finding a bright, fun, liberal woman to date and we can see where it can lead us.
