My description:

Personal Manifesto: Time wages a war of attrition on our capacity for wonder. As our adolescence wanes, the danger of becoming anesthetized to life increases. What was once moving due to its novelty is now seen as mundane, the feelings evoked in us forgotten. We cease opening ourselves up to people for fear of rejection. Yet to allow our emotions to remain unvoiced is to run the risk of never voicing them; to refrain from seizing hold an opportunity is to jeopardize our chances of receiving another. We must reject the philosophy that hope leads to disappointment. We must regard life through the eyes of an innovator, continually viewing the world as if it were an uncharted country--and we its explorers.

My Wicked, Wicked Ways: I am non-standard in lifestyle and ideology: my entrepreneurial spirit would get me arrested for thoughtcrime if my heretical views on Corporate America were ever made public, and I tend to attract fellow questers, fellow questioners. I eat for vitality and stamina as much as for flavor. I am an artist and possess an artist's sensibility, resplendent with all the characteristics, quirks, and unbridled imagination thereof. I love most things whimsical and fantastical. My sense of humor propels the Puritanical into an apoplexy of consternation. A nerd, I am rarely caught without a book. I develop a playful camaraderie with the opposite sex, but at my core I'm a real girly-girl--decidedly sentimental and about as hard-around-the-edges as a pint of Coconut Bliss melting in the sun.

Born in the Wrong Century: I am Celtic by name and affinity but not by blood. My interests tend to run towards the anachronistic; at times, I exhibit neo-Luddite leanings. Being surrounded by trees and green, open spaces makes me euphoric. My geekness shines brightly from within like a proud yet oft-misunderstood beacon, and I am the type of woman who might respond well to the line, "Want to come up and see my Scottish Highlander claymore?"

My Lifestyle:   My ideal diet is high raw vegan, although the raw part moves on a sliding scale from 90-50%.  I use my Vitamix daily (soups, green smoothies, sauces) and drool over recipes from Trader Joe's and anything that Joe Cross ("Fat Sick and Nearly Dead") posts on Facebook. I am a big fan of Markus Rothkrantz, John Assaraf and Eckhart Tolle. I make a wicked garlic/date/parsley salad dressing and at some point would like to embark on a juice feast.  I am into fitness (yoga, rebounding and weights), brain entrainment and dry brushing. I don't have to tell *you* how much easier it is to talk with men who already share some of the values and perspectives that seem to go hand-in-hand with the vegetarian, vegan or raw food movement. ;)
