My description:

I live a simple and unconventional life not fueled by mindless consumerism, debt and blind adherence to social and cultural norms for the mere sake of blending in.

I enjoy farming and gardening, renovating houses, cooking, playing and writing music, coffee, wine and tennis.

Currently I direct a creative agency that primarily services medical practices and restaurant chains. I am also a software developer and real estate investor.  I've been a business owner since I was 17 years old and have always worked for myself.

I am definitely a homebody, and if I go out, it's to somewhere like a farmer's market or to meet up with one of a limited number of intelligent, inspiring people around whom I consider it worth spending my time.

I intend to retire to a secluded plot of farmland very soon and enjoy a low-stress, self-sustaining lifestyle, free from the stress and chaos of conventional society. I will still occasionally take on projects or clients, but only if and when I feel like it.  It will be a haven of peace, tranquility and self-sustinence, filled with rescued animals, more vegetables than you can imagine, and lots of love.

Growing up raising chickens, I realized early in life that animals are loving and intelligent - even a chicken will learn its name and come when you call it and snuggle up with you. This developed into the firm understanding about 7 years ago that animals are friends - not food. I hate that it's considered acceptable and "normal" to knowingly and intentionally participate in the raising of innocent animals deliberately to murder them for gratification, convenience and profit. It's not normal. It's psychopathic, and I'm not down with it. People who say they love animals don't murder them when it's not by any means necessary - nutritionally or otherwise. This is an incredibly important and unwavering belief to me, hence "VeggieDate" :)

While technically I'm vegetarian, I'm ostensibly vegan.   I follow the lifestyle because of concern for humanity towards animals, not as a legalistic diet.  The primary distinction is that, for example, I see no problem with eating eggs from chickens in a cruelty-free environment.  But I wouldn't buy a factory farmed gallon of milk or dozen of eggs from the supermarket, and most certainly wouldn't buy leather.  So while some might not consider me fully vegan based on my technical diet, in terms of avoiding cruelty, I consider myself to be.

Seeking:

I would love to find an independent, intelligent vegan woman with whom I can share rewarding and enriching intellectual, spiritual and/or emotional experiences, who is not a blind conformist to the society and culture that surrounds her and also prefers to live a simple, self-sustaining lifestyle, with the potential to ultimately become one that we share together.
