My description: Ok, here's me: I'm vegan, since '93, veggie since '92. I've a BA degree in Music/Biology, with a concentration in Technology/Policy Studies, but formal education is over-rated.
The astute pic inspector knows I'm tall, with a long, natural mono/omni/uni-dread, but I'm no hippie. Drugs are not, nor have ever been, a part of my life.
Biodiversity is my first love. I'm very concerned about maintaining it.
Recent past includes 5 mo working in India immediately following the Tsunami. While there, I answered the invitation to walk with Gandhi's grandson on the 75th anniversary of his Salt March. On my way back from India, I swung through Scotland for the G8 protests, where I helped run a convergence space for a month+. Summer '06 I recieved a grant to take a Permaculture design cert course, build a biodiesel processor, and organize a biodiesel coop.
Civil Disobedience is the best hope for saving the world. I was trained by Al Gore 12/06 to give "an Inconvenient Truth"-styled slideshow on Global Warming. My limit!
Seeking: I've spent time at forest defense camps within the largest roadless area in the lower 48. I spent a good part of '98-'99 supporting the urban forest defense camp in Minneapolis, and have spent an entire summer in the pristine wilderness of Quetico P.P. in Ontario.
My hobbies include composing/performing on one of many instruments, canoeing and backpacking, studying, cycling, paragliding, traveling, hitchhiking, helping people, organizing, and converting diesels to SVO fuel. As for you, please be a veggie/vegan, non-smoker, know Amy Goodman, The Chicago 8, Catholic Worker Movement, International Solidarity Movement, anti-globalization efforts, or Animal/Earth rights movements.
