My description:
Mostly kind & forthright, rarely mean or coy.
I was raised hitch-hiking, j-walking across terrifying streets, and going to bed on top of coat piles at parties. I suppose as a result, I have a big appetite for travel, a weak dose of caution, and the precious ability to fall asleep anywhere.
Things I'm wild about: unweighed, wide-ranging conversations. Gardening and mushroom-hunting, designing and constructing, swimming, sunbathing, biking, painting, writing, and dancing salsa/bachata/contra. Dogs and all fauna. Huge vessels with creaking parts, buildings and bridges, oceans and hammocks, wide-open spaces, languages.
I work as a painter, a translator, and a journalist, and I write about human-animal relations. Right now I'm also trying to learn Turkish and become a salsa dance goddess.
I've spent several years living in Europe--mostly Italy and Germany--and would love to live abroad again.

Someone whose senses of humor, pleasure, and conversation strike up a rapport with mine. A good listener and a humble, curious, broad-minded thinker.
