I'm a medical student at the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine in Miami, FL and I have been a vegetarian since October of 2009. I want to clarify that I don't eat eggs or fish, or products containing eggs or fish derivatives since some people who consider themselves vegetarians eat eggs and/or fishes. I never drink or smoke and I never will because it's very unhealthy. Members of the medical community have suggested that one should drink a certain amount of wine each week but you definitely don't need to; you can get similar benefits by eating things like walnuts, pistachios, cashews, and other dry fruits, without the harmful effects of alcohol. I enjoy relaxing by the beach, eating good food, having meaningful conversations; and I'm open to trying new things because I like the adventurous component of life. I love traveling by air (and looking out of the window) and taking relaxing vacations. Well as all of us on this site have probably experienced, its hard to have a connection with people who dont share the same principles and values as you and are always trying to make you go back to eating animal producs..

I want to find someone who has the same ethics and morals as me. I went organic 5 years ago, vegetarian 2 years ago and vegan this year.. I eat healthy and care about the planet we live in.
